1970 saw the US market receive the nimble Datsun 240Z, the US counterpart of the Japanese Fairlady Z. While the Datsun was available, it wasn't a true JDM as the Fairlady Z, and throughout the Fairlady Z's production, the JDM car has been brought into the US to satisfy the tuner crowd that was brewing up. The sixth generation Z model was called the Nissan Fairlady Z or the 350Z and was produced from 2008 to 2021.
