The third generation Firebird is a two-door pony car that was introduced in 1981 and quickly gained popularity due to its unique design that was a departure from the Seventies designs. Throughout the generations, the Firebird and Trans Am models were pop culture icons that made their appearance in a myriad of movies and TV series’. This generation is famous for its star status as KITT in Knight Rider (as well as his evil twin, KARR), and the car was as, if not more popular than David Hasselhoff! The Firebird's popularity and versatility doesn’t stop there, and this was proven by Henderson Motor Works when they decided to convert this American-born muscle car into a replica of a Ferrari 308GTS, as a Miami Vice homage. This is a departure from the norm, as the typical conversion of a third-generation Trans Am is into a KITT replica. This 1986 Trans Am SE model is reported to be Henderson Motor Works’ prototype of a rare production run of 308GTS replicas based on the Trans Am. Only twelve were produced, and this car comes from New York City with 8,200 miles on the clock.
This Miami Vice replica started life as a 1986 Pontiac Trans Am SE before undergoing the cosmetic transformation to look like a Ferrari 30GTS courtesy of a body kit, quad exhaust tips and Ferrari red exterior paint. This replica has new Centerline wheels with recently replaced tires. The weather stripping has been renewed to protect its re-upholstered interior, which features two tones black and gray leather bucket seats. The car accommodates four adults. The fine wood dash hosts a modern convenience in the shape of an upgraded head unit with Bluetooth connectivity. Purists can rejoice, as the original radio is included, and a remote starter has been installed for convenience.
Whilst the exterior is Italian-inspired, the mechanicals are very much American muscle-derived. This example comes with General Motors’ long serving 305ci (5.0L) V8 engine coupled to an automatic transmission and driving the rear wheels. The engine produced 190bhp when new. All fluids have been flushed and changed, with recently replaced brakes and new calipers as well.

Throughout America's automobile history, many car models were introduced and were just one-hit wonders. During the late 1960s, Pontiac, by then part of General Motors, wanted to compete with Ford's latest Pony car, the Ford Mustang. In came the Pontiac Firebird, with its Coke Bottle styling, slit taillights, and quad headlights, which were snatched up by the public in droves. Pontiac went on to produce the Firebird until 2002 with four generations of the iconic car under its belt. The third generation Firebird was produced from 1981 to 1992 and featured a radically new design from its outgoing generation. It, of course, was tremendously helped by the 80's hit TV show, Knight Rider. Up for the taking is a 1988 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am GTA, of which only 9,765 were built in the US of A and ready for the next owner to relive the good ol' muscle car days.
The Pontiac Firebird was one of a two-part GM response to Ford's popular Mustang. Debuting in 1967 alongside the Chevrolet Camaro, these two popular nameplates have always been siblings. Well, until 2002, when GM axed the Firebird from their line-up. The Firebird is famous for appearances in shows such as Smokey & The Bandit and Knight Rider. If you've been a Firebird fan, we've got a nice 2000 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6 for sale. Bearing a mere 14,900 miles, this one-owner car can be yours if you desire along with 2 sets of keys and the original dealer invoice included in the sale.
The mid-2000s marked a distinct shift in the automotive landscape, with consumer preferences veering towards more efficient and technologically advanced vehicles. Despite this, the era produced some noteworthy muscle cars that defied the trend, offering a nod to their glorious predecessors from the 1960s. Among these modern classics is the 2006 Pontiac GTO, a vehicle that stands out as a rare gem in an age where the roar of a large V8 engine became increasingly uncommon. With 76,000 miles logged, this GTO redefines performance for the 2000s, delivering reliability and exhilaration with every mile driven, ensuring an abundance of smiles per gallon.
The Pontiac GTO is one of the most well-known and important muscle cars, and it helped cement the segment's popularity in the Swinging Sixties. Based on the GM A-Body platform, the GTO was renowned for its brawny V8 powerplants and drag-strip decimating abilities. That makes first and second-generation GTOs particularly desirable. This 1969 Pontiac GTO Convertible is a second-generation example and has a scarcely believable 25,000 miles under its belt. Hence, it's truly a rare find and a fantastic piece of classic American automobilia for those who appreciate such cars. If that fits your profile, give us a call pronto.
