Restored by the previous owner over the course of 17 years, this 1974 Dodge Challenger has been modified to the cusp of pro/street practicality. Over the nearly two-decade restoration, body damage was repaired, the floors and trunk pan were replaced, and the interior was refinished in black cloth. A 440 V8 was sourced from a 1973 Challenger and rebuilt with an aggressive cam and carb setup. Now finished in Cyber Gray, this first-generation Dodge Challenger is being offered from the Exotic Car Trader collection with a clean Florida title, clean Carfax, and extensive restoration photos and receipts.
Finished in the GM color of Cyber Gray Metallic, this 1974 Dodge Challenger wears 17” American Racing wheels and fresh BFGoodrich tires. The Rallye hood features a black stripe, hood pins, and 440 Magnum emblems along the hood scoops on either side. The 3” exhaust system terminates at slash-cut tips just ahead of the rear wheels. Side markers and license plate brackets were retained in the restoration. Inside, this 1974 Dodge Challenger sports a mix of new and high-quality original components. New door panels and a new dash cap were added, new black cloth seats were upholstered for the front and rear, and auxiliary temperature, pressure, and volt gauges were placed in a pod above the transmission tunnel. Air conditioning controls are found to the left of the steering wheel. Some patina pieces were preserved, most notably the rear-view mirror. The restored instrument cluster displays 41,560 miles at the time of listing – true mileage is believed to be 141,560.
Under the hood lies a rebuilt 440 V8 sourced from a ‘73 Challenger. Backed by a TCI transmission, TCI stall, and 3:23 Posi-Trac rear end, this powertrain has been extensively serviced and modified. Thanks to power steering and power brakes, this Challenger can be driven on the road with ease. Please see below for an extended list of modifications; extensive restoration records will be provided upon request.
