Overview

Finished in Jet Black over Obsidian leather, this 2009 Aston Martin V8 Vantage is powered by a 4.7L V8 engine with 420 horsepower and 347 lb-ft of torque. A 6-speed sequential Sportshift example, this Vantage boasts several significant improvements over earlier V8 Vantage models, many of which are explained in this post. Showing just over 19,900 miles at the time of documentation, this Aston Martin is offered directly from our inventory with a clean title and clean Carfax.

Exterior/Interior

The 2009 Aston Martin V8 Vantage was the first year for a number of improvements to the Vantage, both large and small. Post-update models can be differentiated at the onset by their 20-spoke alloy wheels, a dash of flair amid an otherwise subtle design. The Jet Black paint on this Vantage presents as new, and clear protection film has been applied in several places including just ahead of the rear wheels. The front bumper has not been drilled for a license plate. The red Brembo brakes and slotted rotors are stock. Inside, this 2009 Aston Martin V8 Vantage is clad in Obsidian Black leather with red deviated stitching along the seats, dashboard, and center console. Cabin appointments include an Alcantara headliner, 10-way power seats, an analog clock, push-button ignition with a glass button, and a 160-watt Aston Martin sound system with iPod integration. The buttonless leather-wrapped steering wheel shows no wear and is flanked on either side by paddle shifters for the sequential transmission. The digital odometer reflects 19,908 miles at the time of documentation.

Engine

The differences between this later Vantage and earlier models are most apparent under the skin. The 2009 Aston Martin V8 Vantage is powered by a quad-cam 32-valve 4.7-liter V8 engine, up from the 4.3L displacement of prior years. This increase bumped the power figures to 420 horsepower and 347 lb-ft of torque, an 11% and 15% increase over earlier models, respectively. Backed by a six-speed sequential transmission, this powerplant propels the V8 Vantage to 60 MPH in 4.3 seconds on its way to a top speed of 180 MPH – half a second and 5 MPH faster than before. The 2009 Aston Martin V8 Vantage also features a lighter flywheel, stiffer suspension with Bilstein dampers, and new throttle mapping yielding a 13% increase in fuel economy – in other words, it’s better all around.
