The 1997 Jeep Wrangler saw the model move into its second generation, also known by the TJ model code. This chassis focused on refining the first-generation, adding comfort while maintaining the Wrangler position in the Jeep lineup. The TJ-generation Jeep Wrangler’s most significant styling feature was the return to the much-loved circular headlight style, which its predecessor ditched in favor of rectangular units.
