An Edsel isn’t something you’d see every day, which is what makes this 1958 Edsel Pacer 4DR Hardtop all the more special. Originally a mid-priced vehicle sold by the now-defunct division of Ford, today, it has become a prized collector's item thanks to its rarity. This 1958 Edsel Pacer 4DR Hardtop from California has been lovingly brought into the modern age, and restored with a few choice additions that improve usability. The owner has also retained the original specimens of the upgraded parts.

Exterior and Interior

The exterior of this 1958 Edsel Pacer 4DR Hardtop boasts a beautiful two-tone look featuring Sunset Coral & White. It rides on the new 15-inch front and 16-inch rear wheel rims wrapped in new all-season radial tires. Additionally, this car has new front wheel spacers, suspension bushings and rubber, front and rear disc brakes, and gas shocks. The charming interior of this Edsel Pacer is also done in Sunset Coral & White to match the exterior. The car’s current owner reports that the cabin has received new seat upholstery, dash, carpet, seat belts, and a leather steering wheel cover. The original steering wheel has no cracks either. Further, new electronic additions include an FM Bluetooth radio and upgraded speakers while the new power antenna can be retracted. As a bonus, the AM radio works too. You also get an analog radiator water temperature gauge. This Pacer features a new trunk liner and new rubber trim in the trunk, windows, and windshield. On the other hand, the heater and clock in this car are nonfunctional. It is also noted that the gas gauge reads 7/8 when the tank is full.

Engine

Resting under the hood of this 1958 Edsel Pacer is a robust 5.9L V8 361ci engine, which has been rebuilt within the past 2000 miles. At the same time, it gained an upgraded push-button automatic transmission as well. The restoration gave this pacer a new battery, alternator, rebuilt power steering pump with new lines, Edelbrock carburetor, performance Edelbrock distributor, aluminum higher cooling capacity radiator and even an Ultrasonic rodent repellent light/sound under hood. With the sale of the car, you still get all the original components that were replaced. Additionally, this car has new front wheel spacers, suspension bushings and rubber, front and rear disc brakes, and gas shocks.
