Panoz…who’s that? Panoz is a Georgia-based automotive outfit that makes small-volume sports cars. Founded by Dan Panoz in 1989, the company is still around! One of their more popular offerings is the Esperante, which was made across two generations. The first ran between 2000 and 2007, with a second being offered between 2014 and 2015. As you’d expect, these are low-volume cars and you don’t see many of them around. Today, we have a first-generation 2002 Panoz Esperante for sale from Matthews, North Carolina. It’s got 23,000 miles, a 4.6-liter Ford Cobra V8 and a 5-speed manual gearbox. Plus, this rear-wheel drive machine is reportedly on sale by the original owner, and includes all original documents and brochures. It’s undergone a complete inspection at the Panoz factory in November 2025 too.

This 2002 Panoz Esperante features a Sapphire Blue paint job which is reportedly protected by a recent ceramic coating. The car’s styling is certainly interesting and distinctive, and you can definitely see inspiration from many large automakers, such as BMW and Ferrari in the design language. The bodywork is underpinned by an aluminum chassis and the whole thing rides on a set of shiny silver alloy wheels. Yes, this is certainly a head-turner because of its rarity, and people will be scratching their heads to identify it. Helpfully, Panoz has placed badging and script on the rear of the car, along with the twin tailpipes that lets the Cobra V8 do its barking. A car cover is also included in the sale of this machine. The interior of this 2002 Panoz Esperante comes in tan and can accommodate two adults. It’s well-equipped, with air conditioning and an aftermarket sound system. You can also see some BMW Z8 design inspiration here, particularly with the centrally-mounted gauge pod. There’s also some wood trim, chrome-plated door handles and power windows. Plus, there’s a black convertible top that can be lowered for open-air drives when desired.

This 2002 Panoz Esperante uses a 4.6-liter Ford Cobra V8. It’s reportedly rated at 305hp and 320lb-ft as per official literature. The engine drives the rear axle through a 5-speed manual transmission. Thanks to its light weight, 0-60 can be done in around 5 seconds.

Selecting a contemporary Maserati from the past twenty five years is a nice way to get your Italian Grand Tourer fix in a modern classic sort of manner. Maserati’s Coupe and Spyder of 2001 to 2007, also called the 4200 in some markets due to its 4.2-liter V8, offers you that fantastic blend of Italian passion, Italian style and Italian driving experience. Yes, it’s totally different to, say, a German contender from the same period and segment, but that’s why a discerning set of people love the Maserati. If you’re one of those people, we have a 2005 Maserati Spyder Cambiocorsa for sale from Mobile, Alabama. With just over 45,000 miles to its name, this car comes with a 4.2-liter naturally aspirated V8, a 6-speed Cambiocorsa automated manual transmission, a Rosso Mondiale exterior and more.

Chevy’s sixth generation Corvette often tends to get overlooked. It doesn’t have the wedge-shaped, pop-up headlamped allure of the fifth generation, nor is it the last of the front-engined ‘Vettes like the seventh. Yet, choosing a sixth-gen or C6 Corvette is a very smart choice to make. That’s because the C6 represents a notable performance leap over the C5. The car’s tighter dimensions and more compact package make it a better handler, while its 6.0-liter V8 offers a useful power and torque increase over the 5.7 that dominated the C5 era. Today, we have a 2007 Chevrolet Corvette 3LT Z51 for sale from Lakewood Ranch, Florida. This car has done over 65,000 miles and has a driver-pleasing 6-speed manual transmission. Plus, it’s endowed with the Z51 Perfomance Package and has also received a Corsa performance exhaust to really make that V8 sing.

Going on sale for the 2020 model year, Chevy’s C8 or eighth-generation Corvette flipped the script followed for the past seven generations. It took the front-mounted engine and moved it behind the passenger cell, then gave the car supercar-fighter looks, a more luxurious interior and made it a genuine threat to Europe’s finest. That’s why choosing a car like this 2022 Chevrolet Corvette Premium 3LT is a smart decision to make. We’re told that this 2,400-mile car is a C8r Limited Edition variant – number 348 of 1,000 to be precise. If you purchase this Overland Park-based machine, you’ll get a custom car cover, two keys and many more enjoyable things, not to mention one of America’s finest sports cars ever made so far.
