When the US Military needed a vehicle to replace the original Jeep, they turned to AM General’s Humvee, which has now seen decades of service on the front line. And while there have been unmistakable civilian offshoots, such as the Hummer H1 and H2, nothing can beat the presence of the original military machine, And that’s exactly what we’re offering you here with this 2009 Humvee M1123 4-Door that has been fully restored and modified by Plan B Trucks. Far from this truck being a lightly spruced-up example, it’s virtually ready to go back into battle, with new armor plating, a riot control system, and even armored gun ports in each door. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg — read on to find out more.

The silhouette may look familiar, but take a closer look, and this 2009 Humvee M1123 4-Door has a very unique outer appearance. You get an Anti-Spal Blackout Exterior with a color protection coating and new paint. Plan B has supplied the B6 Full Cab Protection armored cab system, which includes armored glass, an armored fresh air intake, and armored fuel inlet protection. There are armored gun ports in each door and Plan B removable rage cage riot protection. The underbody has been protected with anti-corrosive paint, while this Humvee sits on 20-inch Black Rhino Tactical aluminum wheels wrapped in 40-inch Extreme Off-road mud terrain tires. The truck has also been specifically modified to be EMP resistant and features a three-inch HD Signature body lift. There’s also a front 12k winch and a rear winch. This truck is unstoppable at night, too, with a custom LED light system and amber off-road lighting. Inside you’ll find luxuries in the form of heated seats, USB ports, and a touch screen with a 10-speaker sound system and rear view camera. The driver gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a train horn, while the owner reports a new air conditioning and heat system.

Under the hood of this 2009 Humvee M1123 4-Door beast lies a military 24-volt 6.5L Turbo Diesel that is reportedly resistant to EMPs. Power is sent to the road via a 4-speed manual transmission.

The vehicle that is best-known for its role on the silver screen, the AM General Humvee forms the backbone of the US Military, locally and abroad. It’s a versatile and adaptable battlefield transport that can perform a myriad of tasks. It’s the vehicle that inspired the original Hummer, with some encouragement from The Terminator after all. But if you want a real battlefield survivor, an original Humvee is the best way to go, and did you know that they’re more common than you’d expect? After they are retired from military service, many Humvees end up in the civilian auto market. This 1998 AM General Humvee M998 from Port St. Joe is one of those vehicles, and it’s got just over 37,000 miles on the clock. With its diesel V8, LED front and rear light bars and 12-volt power converter, this is one quirky but massively purposeful vehicle to put on your driveway!

The OG Hummer, the AM General Humvee is the military variant on which the entire Hummer brand was created around, at the request of Arnold Schwarzenegger. Having encountered these vehicles in movies, it’s no surprise that The Terminator fell in love with them. Of course, at that time, the only way a civilian could expose themselves to a Humvee in the capacity of driving it was to likely join the military. Now, you can find plenty of old, ex-service Humvees entering civilian life after they retire from active duty. This 1987 AM General Humvee M998 is one such candidate, and it’s got just 37,300 miles to its name. But that’s not important, what matters is how it’s been tastefully customized. You’ve got a Tropical Blue repaint, a custom navy and white Sunbrella top, a diesel V8 under the hood, and so much more to appreciate. Hard to imagine, isn’t it, that this was once a military troop transport!

Originally developed for military operations, the Humvee M998 stands as a symbol of unmatched toughness and utilitarian engineering. This 2018 example, offered from Anaheim, California, represents a modern-production variant that remains completely stock and virtually unused, showing just 50 miles. Combining authentic military-grade construction with near-new condition, it presents a rare opportunity to own an exceptionally preserved Humvee — a machine built for endurance, now ready for civilian life.

Now here’s a machine that will strike fear into the hearts of all those who encounter it! This 1984 AM General M936 5-Ton 6x6 Military Wrecker is a massive military machine that’s been somewhat civilianized after its retirement from the forces. Now, it’s up for grabs in Calhoun, Georgia, with a stonking Cummins 14-liter straight six diesel engine, an Allison 5-speed automatic transmission, dual winches, and a 5,500-pound crane, no less! Yes, this is a piece of battlefield hardware that can be used for myriad purposes in daily life, and we’d suggest using it to help people out, or for business purposes. Either way, with 30,945 miles on the clock, this ex-Military truck is a fine catch to net.

The first Hummer, the H1 was a gargantuan beast released in 1992. It was the result of AM General’s desire to produce a civilian variant of their tough military Humvee, spurred on in no small part by a request from Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Terminator had encountered Humvees during his silver screen adventures and thought they would be a fine SUV for those who dared to think different. One does not simply refuse a request from The Terminator, and AM General saw the potential new market it could offer too. These days, finding an H1 isn’t hard, but it’s not a walk in the park either. Thankfully, we have this 96,579-mile 1995 AM General Hummer H1 for sale from Boston. The vehicle has a 350ci V8, an automatic gearbox, aftermarket wheels and all those cool things that the H1 is famous for.

There’s rugged, and then there’s Humvee rugged. This 2001 AM General Humvee M1097A2, currently located in Wellington, Florida, is a street-legal slice of military-grade capability equipped with a 6.5L naturally aspirated diesel V8, and four-wheel drive. It's originally built for go-anywhere, do-anything military service, this Humvee has been thoughtfully upgraded while preserving its purpose-built essence.
