Arguably America’s most prolific EV manufacturer, Tesla started with EVs from the outset. The Tesla Roadster was their first-ever model, followed by the Model S which is going strong over ten years later. It was inevitable that Elon Musk’s company would venture into the SUV space sooner or later. Lo and behold, they debuted the Model X in 2015, to compete in the mid-size luxury crossover SUV segment. This 2018 Tesla Model X 75D comes to you from Texas with just 22,000 miles on the clock, and is a great way to enter the Tesla lifestyle, especially if your vehicular need is for a swift, silent and stylish American-designed and made SUV, that’s the largest fully-electric SUV that you can currently buy, in terms of interior dimensions.
Exterior and Interior
We said American designed, and that’s pretty much true since Tesla’s Chief Designer Franz von Holzhausen is an American, despite the German name. He’s penned all of the brand’s vehicles, right from the Roadster onwards, and this 2018 Tesla Model X 75D shows off the distinctive Tesla styling language in its gray paintwork and silver multi-spoke alloy wheels. It sports the trick and very cool double-hinged falcon gullwing doors for the rear. The double-hinged design means that these doors actually require very little space on either side to open, unlike traditional gullwing doors. The inside sports a white color theme which few manufacturers dare to attempt, but has become second nature to Tesla. The Model X can accommodate up to seven occupants, and the interior features a futuristic layout where nearly all vehicle functions are controlled via the large portrait-oriented touchscreen. You get multi-zone climate control with rear vents, premium audio system, a full infotainment system, keyless start, satellite radio, heated mirrors, Wi-Fi hotspot and full autopilot adaptability, including the autopilot safety package.
Engine
This 2018 Tesla Model X 75D packs a 75kWh battery, hence the 75D designation that can offer a real-world usable range between 150 and 300 miles, depending on driving and external conditions. City range in cold weather is stated as up to 210 miles, whilst highway driving in cold weather can see that drop to 150 miles. Of course, these improve with mild weather. In terms of power, you get twin electric motors, one on each axle delivering a combined 329hp and 485lb-ft, giving a zero to sixty time of 5.2 seconds and a top speed of 130mph.
Tesla’s Model X was introduced in 2015, as the iconic American EV maker’s first SUV. Taking the form of a midsize luxury crossover, the Model X is most renowned for its falcon doors, making possibly the only SUV to offer these from the factory. That, plus its ludicrous four-figure power output in Plaid variants make it quite an interesting prospect. Sadly, the Plaid was discontinued recently, so if you want to get your hands on one, we’ve got a 11,926-mile 2023 Tesla Model X Plaid from Southwest Ranches, Florida for sale right now. The vehicle sports an estimated range of 333 miles on a full charge, and comes with a charging cable included with the sale.
Tesla is arguably the most high-profile American EV automaker of the moment, and has been so for the past decade at least. Spearheaded by Elon Musk, the brand has a portfolio of just four models. Their letters are S,3,X,Y, and if you look closely, you can see a pattern there. Yet, these models weren’t introduced in that order. For example, the Model X was the brand’s first electric crossover, and their second mass-market offering, after the Model S. With its breathtaking falcon doors, swift electric powertrain and distinctive interior styling, the Model X quickly garnered a cult following. If you’ve been aching to get your mitts on a Model X, here’s a 2023 Tesla Model X for sale. Amazingly, this car comes with less than 200 miles on the clock, making it basically brand-new! However there’s no charger included, but you can charge this beast at a myriad of public charging stations, including Tesla’s own network.
You know when Tesla make a vehicle, they don’t exactly follow the beaten path that automakers have created over a century of industry experience. Instead, they trail-blaze, forging a new path. The Model X is pure, tangible proof of Tesla’s breaking-the-mould persona. Here’s an SUV with serious sports car performance, and its most iconic feature is a set of gullwing doors for rear-seat passengers. Tesla’s even given the vehicle a party mode in which the lights flash and the doors dance on their axis in response. Now isn’t that something? Whether you like or dislike the company, you can’t deny their out-of-the-box thinking. If there’s something outrageous in the automotive industry, chances are it’s Tesla who takes the ball and runs with it. As for those who want to get their hands on a fresh, new Model X, we’ve got this 2024 Tesla Model X for sale right now. This 5,400-mile super-SUV is for sale by its original owner. We’re also told that there’s no charger included in the sale, but you can easily get one from Tesla, or just rock up to one of their charging stations.
