For the first time, the Corvette wore its engine in the mid-rear of the car, and gained significant performance credential upgrades as a result. It was now worthy of taking on Europe’s finest sports cars, and, for the first time, would be officially produced in right-hand drive as well, for markets such as Australia and Japan. Engine
This 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Premium 3LT packs a reported 490-horsepower V8. The naturally aspirated unit displaces 6.2-liters and generates up to 465lb-ft of torque. It’s mated with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and drives the rear wheels. GM says that the C8 Corvette can achieve 0-60 in just under 3 seconds under the right conditions.
