Chevrolet introduced the C/K Series in 1960, taking over from the Task Force line-up of pickup trucks. This was an important time, as American businesses were growing, and countless small and medium-scale entrepreneurs would need a capable, tough and dependable vehicle to carry their wares. Be it farm produce, construction supplies or furniture, for example, you can bet that it’s been carried in the back of a Chevy C/K truck at some point during that time. By 1966, Chevy showcased the second-generation C/K Series line-up, with many updates and improvements. Now, these trucks make for excellent classics, and to that end, we’ve got a 1971 Chevrolet C10 Short Bed for sale today. This Arkansas-based truck has reportedly undergone a frame-off restoration while in the custody of its previous owner, making it a great choice as a turn-key classic that you can enjoy from the moment you receive the keys.
When it comes to pickups, the good old Chevrolet C10 is an American workhorse that has mobilised thousands. And as with any workhorse, well-cared-for examples are few and far between, making the minters all that more valuable as time goes on. Our featured truck is a 1970 Chevrolet C10 pickup finished in a striking shade of orange. The owner reports that it has undergone an extensive restoration, with many new body and interior parts installed. It’s not just the cosmetics that have received a refresh either, as the owner reports that this 1970 C10 features a brand new motor under its hood — a 454ci V8 engine that reportedly has less than 1,000 miles on it! Located in St. Cloud, Minnesota, it’s a head-turning truck that’s just as ready for weekend cruising as it is for car shows.
In 1960, Chevy launched the C/K Series of pickup trucks. Little did they know it, but this would become one of their most popular models, and continue over four decades, across four generations. Now, The C/K Series’ spiritual successor is the wildly popular Chevrolet Silverado. The entry point was the C10, a half-ton pickup truck available in a two-door single cab, with a Fleetside or Stepside cargo bed. This particular 1966 Chevrolet C10 Stepside bears a scant 6,000 miles on the clock, and comes from Hollywood, Florida. It’s a great starter classic for someone looking to start a collection.
A classic serves many purposes, its a way of winding down a tough week, making one feel special when out and about or even serve as a way of wrenching to get things running. Present today is not just any classic but this 1936 Chevrolet Master Deluxe. This 30s classic features custom styling all round and cuts out the wrenching and focuses on more driving.
Third generation or C3 Corvettes are well known for their muscular styling in particular. This era basically saw the Corvette lift its looks straight from a concept car of the time, and even though it passed through one of the worst times in American automotive history; the Malaise Era, the Corvette was still one of the fastest cars that could be bought. That makes the C3 a survivor and a definitive classic that is worth investing in. Want a particularly well looked after C3? This reportedly climate controlled garage kept 1977 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe from Davie, Florida looks like an appealing buy. The car has got a light 22,067 miles to its name and is a single-owner vehicle, we’re told.
The Chevrolet Master Deluxe series was introduced in 1933, and ran until 1942, through the bulk of World War II, basically. The Master Deluxe represented a more upmarket Chevy, and was offered in sedan, coupe, cabriolet and pickup truck forms. Today’s 1935 Chevrolet Master Deluxe Vicky Restomod is a bit different, as it’s received a popular form of facelifting that many 1930s and 1940s vehicles tend to be ideal for; restomodding in hot rod style. So, if you want to make a style statement in Sunset Orange Pearl nonetheless, here’s your ticket to ride.
