Now here’s a truly rare vintage car that is likely the sort you’d be able to buy just once in a lifetime. This 1939 BMW 328 Roadster is a fine example of the German automaker’s long and illustrious history of excellence. It offers you a comprehensive look at what BMW was way back then. In fact, in 1999, the 328 was named one of 25 finalists for the Car Of The Century award by a worldwide panel of auto journalists. Its achingly beautiful shape, potent straight six and the overall pristine condition of this example all make this a highly coveted collector’s piece. That is reflected in its price too. If you want to make this rolling piece of history your own, it’s currently up for grabs in Florissant, Missouri.

Wearing a cream colored suit that’s reportedly a repaint, this 1939 BMW 328 Roadster features classic Thirties design, podded headlamps, and body-colored hubcaps for its wheels. The wheels wear classic Blockley Special 6-Ply tires that are period-correct; no radials here. Underneath the beautifully curvaceous body that sports an early iteration of BMW’s iconic kidney grille lies a lightweight tubular frame. The front axle uses a transverse leaf spring, the rear is a live axle. The brown interior of this 1939 BMW 328 Roadster embodies what sports car motoring was like way back then. It’s completely exposed to the elements and offers a brown leather-upholstered low-back bench seat for driver and passenger. The steering wheel is removable, and there’s a full gauge pack in the dashboard, a veritable luxury back then. There’s also a windshield, a rear-view mirror and a cover for the passenger side of the cabin in case it’s just you in this machine.

This 1939 BMW 328 Roadster packs a 2.0-liter straight six under the hood. Impressively for the time, the engine is fed via triple carburetors. This helped it make 79 horsepower, which was blistering way back then, as was the 93mph top speed. Remember this was at a time when your average family car had 50 horsepower or less, and speeds were much lower. A 4-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear wheels.

BMW’s 3-Series is a fine compact luxury car, embodying BMW’s spirit of creating the Ultimate Driving Machine. The default choice for many petrolheads for decades, BMW had the bright idea of pushing the envelope and creating a halo variant in the mid 1980s. Their efforts came to fruition with the E30 M3 that ran between 1986 and 1991. With its fizzy four-cylinder engine and myriad performance enhancements, the letter-and-number pairing of M3 quickly gained a reputation. Ever since then, every 3-Series has been accompanied by an M3. Engines grew from four to six to eight cylinders, and then went back to six, albeit with turbocharging. This particular 2023 BMW M3 Competition from Sunset, Texas is from the current G80 series and has just 5,000 miles on the clock. Plus it’s got the Competition Package for an even more hardcore driving experience, while retaining the family-friendliness that the 3-Series is known for.

BMW are masters at finding new segments and predicting customer preferences, sometimes even before customers know it themselves. Take their line-up of Sports Activity Coupes, for example. These are SUVs with coupe-like sloping rear profiles, blending the shape of a sports car with the practicality of an SUV. The biggest Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) that you can get from BMW is the X6. That’s what we have here today, a 67,941-mile 2021 BMW X6 sDrive40i from Jacksonville, Florida. It’s got the M Sport Package, Executive Package and a set of 22-inch M Double Spoke Bi-Color wheels too. And of course, it comes with all the usual BMW refinements and tech toys that you’d expect from the German luxury automaker’s products.

The one that strikes fear into many midsize or executive car makers, the BMW M5 has been setting the template for a fast family car for over forty years since the first one came out in 1984. It’s become a de facto member of the 5-Series line-up ever since, sitting at the top of the range, and offering supercar-chasing performance in a four-door package. Today’s 2022 BMW M5 Competition Package comes from Boca Raton, Florida and is from the F90 era of 2017-2023. With just 30,000 miles, this car packs the Appearance Package and was reportedly certified six months ago. If you want a family car that’s sure to knock your socks off, you can’t go wrong with a M5.

Ford’s Model A may not have been as trailblazing as the legendary Model T was, but it’s no less important in the history of the Blue Oval brand. When the Model T was due for retirement, Ford knew that they had a mammoth task in succeeding it with a worthy successor. The successor was the Model A. So how successful was it? Well, in its production run between 1927 and 1931, 4.85 million examples were sold! That’s pretty successful, we’ve got to say. Model A owners could choose from coupes, convertibles, sedans, pickup trucks and some commercial oriented body styles as well. Plus, the Model A was made in multiple countries across the globe, apart from the United States, of course. Now, finding a Model A these days is a little difficult because not many are around – we’re talking about a car that would be nearly a century old! Thankfully, we have an old stalwart from Meridian, Idaho right here. This 1930 Ford Model A 5-Window Coupe comes with a 201ci four-cylinder, a 3-speed manual transmission and a two-tone blue exterior. Plus, it’s got under 15,000 miles to its name.
