



The Bel Air is a full-sized sedan meant to be the opposite of discreet. It was made for people who despised being discreet, it was made for people who loved to be noticed, for people who smoked only Cuban cigars and drank tea with their pinkies sticking out. The Bel Air was prestigious, and the fact that it went on to be considered one of the most iconic cars of the 1950s speaks for its homage. The second-generation Bel Air went through a complete design change from the first. Nicknamed the 'hot one,' this Bel Air was no longer subtle. It was in your face, and it was sexy. If there ever was a definitive station wagon, the Chevy Nomad has got to be it! In fact, Chevy used the Nomad nameplate mostly on station wagons. Firstly, these wagons were based on the Tri-Five from 1955 to 1957, Then, they shifted to a Bel Air base from 1958 to 1961 and subsequently, a Chevelle base between 1968 and 1972.
