The first generation of Chevy’s popular Corvette was introduced for sale in 1953, and ran until the end of the 1962 model year. It created the template for what would become America’s finest sports car, and today, is something that really makes Europe’s finest feel fearful. Finding a first generation or C1 Corvette isn’t easy because only 69,000 were made, and of course, way back then, it wasn’t considered a classic. Exterior and Interior
This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible showcases the sleek lines that made Americans go ‘wow’ when it was debuted nine years earlier. The dual exposed headlamps, long and low stance and boat-inspired tail treatment are all features that endured for decades and many subsequent generations. Today’s ‘Vette also packs replaced bumpers and replaced white-striped tires too. It’s got a white convertible soft top for weather protection. We’re also told that many of the chrome parts have been replaced as well.
