Chevy’s fine third-generation or C3 Corvette was a car with looks that its powertrain couldn’t quite capitalize on, thanks to the Malaise Era, emissions controls and fuel saving requirements of the Seventies through early Eighties. But this 1981 Chevrolet Corvette Supercharged from Norfolk, Virginia aims to address that shortfall. It’s packing a supercharged L81 V8 under the hood with an LS camshaft upgrade and many more tasty little goodies to make it a real treat to drive. On the inside, an aftermarket audio system jazzes things up, while the removable glass T-tops ensure that open-air drives are on the agenda too. Don’t worry about the 208,606-mile odometer reading, that only tells us that this is a car that begs to be driven!
Exterior and Interior
Wearing a beautiful dark blue coat of paint, this 1981 Chevrolet Corvette Supercharged features those removable glass T-tops that are an iconic Seventies and Eighties feature in many American sports cars and grand tourers. Engine

The car also has an Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake manifold, LS camshaft upgrade, Crane 1.5 roller rocker arms, JE forged pistons, Eagle forged connecting rods and crankshaft, MSD 6-BTM ignition system and a 3-inch dual exhaust system. It’s also equipped with a Griffin aluminum radiator and aftermarket electric fan, aftermarket fuel pump and power steering pump. A 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission drives the rear wheels through a 3.54 rear end. The car also has Zero Tolerance Industries brakes with O-ring caliper pistons, aftermarket U-joints and more.
