Toyota has always been a marque of affordability and famed Japanese reliability. A legendary name from Toyota’s long line of performance cars is the Toyota Supra. Already a common name among tuners, the Supra became a legend with its inclusion in the Fast and the Furious franchise. The Toyota Supra is currently on its fifth generation, although arguably the most popular and sought after Supra is the fourth generation which was produced from 1990 to 2002. Our subject vehicle is such a car, a 1994 Toyota Supra with Sport Roof Twin Turbo, a veritable gem in anyone’s hands. With just 58,000 miles on the clock and with some tasty upgrades, this car can be seen in Wisconsin. The original owner is giving the car with the original window stickers and the original owner’s manual with the booklets. This 1994 Supra is reported to have only been maintained by specialist Supra shops on a regular basis.
This unmistakable car is bedecked in a fairly simple color, black. While the color is not ostentatious, it does make the car look deceptively tame, hiding what lies under the hood. This fighter jet of the asphalt sits on a set of 9-spoke chrome MOMO wheels. The interior of this 1994 Toyota Supra with Sport Roof Twin Turbo is where the magic happens. It’s appointed in a tan and black finish. Another design that made the Supra so popular was the fighter jet -like cockpit design, which in-fact had its design cue from an actual fighter jet. Behind the unassuming Toyota steering wheel sits the fuel/temperature, speedometer and the RPM gauge mounted right in the center. Where the clock used to be, a boost gauge now sits with a controller, the original clock is available as well.
This 1994 Toyota Supra with Sport Roof Twin Turbo comes with not just any in-line six but the mystical 2JZ-GTE twin-turbo engine which sends the power to the rear wheels via the 4-speed A340E automatic transmission with the manual button. Bolstering the power on this beast are downpipes equipped to the turbos, and an aftermarket exhaust. The cars ECU has been tuned, further enhancing the Supra’s true potential. Keeping the engine cool is an aftermarket intercooler. Stopping power is provided by the all-around disc brakes, which reportedly has only 2000 miles on them. Whereas the grip is provided by the Continental tires which are reported to have just a few miles on them.

The Toyota Supra is a legend of JDM circles, and gained a lot of popularity in the United States too. This was primarily the fourth generation Supra, with its appearance in The Fast And The Furious franchise. But there are Supras from earlier generations that are just as cool, desirable, fast, and fun to drive. Take the third generation, from which this 1992 Toyota Supra MkIII Turbo hails. It’s got pop-up headlamps and some cars came with removable targa roofs! Suffice to say, this 50,750-mile example from Rochester, Minnesota does have those neat features, and a turbocharged straight six under the hood. No, it’s not a 2JZ-GTE, but something that was considered fearsome back in its day.
