Ford’s T-Bird or Thunderbird model may not be in production anymore, but it’s a compelling classic and desirable model for a special reason; it kickstarted the category known as the ‘personal luxury car’. Produced from 1954 to 1997 across ten generations, Ford decided to capitalize on the retro-modern bandwagon with the eleventh generation in 2002 that was produced for just three short years. If a T-Bird is your thing, we present this 2002 Ford Thunderbird Convertible from Colorado with just 21,800 miles on the clock. The seller reports that it’s been annually serviced by a Ford dealership, and it comes with a Thunderbird car cover as well as a rack for the top. In case you didn’t know, this generation of T-Bird was also featured on the silver screen, driven by Halle Berry in the James Bond film ‘Die Another Day’.

This generation was styled by Jack Telnack and incorporated a modernization of the classic Thunderbird styling cues. The styling has been praised for elegance and beauty, which this 2002 Ford Thunderbird Convertible proudly shows off in its Thunderbird Blue paintjob that is very Sixties! This car sports a power retractable convertible top, and the original color-matched removable hardtop sporting the iconic ‘porthole’ on each side is included in the sale. It’s seven-spoke 17-inch cast aluminum shiny wheels are wrapped in Michelin tires, reportedly installed last summer. Dual exhausts with bright tips complete the look. The interior features a black and blue color scheme that matches the exterior blue. A retro-style white-faced gauge cluster faces the driver. The car also has a power tilt and telescoping steering column, auto headlamps with variable display, an AM/FM stereo with 6-CD changer, dual-zone climate control, cruise control and anti-theft alarm are part of the gadget count.

The eleventh generation T-Bird is built on the Ford DEW98 platform that also underpinned the Lincoln LS, Jaguar S-Type and Jaguar XF, as Ford owned Jaguar at the time. This 2002 Ford Thunderbird Convertible is powered by Jaguar’s 3.9L AJ30 V8 that puts out 252hp and 267lb-ft to the rear wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Four-wheel ventilated disc brakes with ABS and variable assistance power steering are present as well. This example is also reported to have received a brand new battery.

In 2002, Ford introduced the eleventh generation Thunderbird, as a retro-modern homage to the original. It brought back many first-generation attributes such as the two-seat layout, but featured modern mechanicals and technology under the skin. Since Ford owned British automaker Jaguar Cars at the time, there are quite a few Jaguar-derived bits in eleventh generation T-Birds too. This 2002 Ford Thunderbird Deluxe is one fine example that’s currently up for grabs in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. With under 17,000 miles on the clock, the Full Interior Color Accent Package and the Deluxe Series Order Code, this is a car for the discerning collector indeed.

A key automobile in America’s automotive industry, the T-Bird as it is popularly called was billed as a Personal Luxury Car. This was a segment that Ford supposedly created, reflecting a luxury and powerful two-door machine. Basically, they looked at the Grand Tourers of Europe and said, hey, America has open roads that would suit such a segment of car. Ten generations of T-Bird were made between 1955 and 1997, with a homage eleventh generation showing its face between 2002 and 2005. Today’s 1961 Ford Thunderbird comes from the third generation and has done just 22,000 miles. Based in Kansas City, it’s got a V8, a 3-speed Cruise-O-Matic automatic gearbox, a black interior and more.

The Ford Thunderbird was made between 1955 and 1997 across ten generations, and redefined the Personal Luxury Car for Americans. In fact, it created the segment, largely inspired by the Grand Tourers of Europe. So, in the 2000s, Ford was feeling a little misty eyed and decided to create a rose-tinted eleventh generation homage to this iconic nameplate. Enter the retro-modern Thunderbird that was made between 2002 and 2005. Styled by Jack Telnack, the car sat on the Ford DEW98 platform, used an engine from Jaguar (who Ford owned at the time), and marked a return to roots of sorts, in that it was a two-seater, just like the first generation. Over 68,000 examples were made, and we have one for sale. Say hello to this original owner, all-stock 2002 Ford Thunderbird from South Jordan, Utah, that’s got just 13,085 miles on the clock.

For decades, the Ford F-Series has been the default choice of many small business holders, particularly those in rural areas. These include farmers, mechanics and other blue-collar workers who’ve needed a truck that would never let them down, especially when driving in the middle of nowhere. That’s why the F-Series counts a fine legacy of fourteen generations since 1948 to date. Initially, the half-ton variant was called F-1, before becoming F-100, and then the famous F-150 moniker that we know today. Now, selecting a classic F-Series truck is a very smart decision because they are becoming quite desirable. Case in point, this 1972 Ford F-100 from Huntington Beach. With just 1,460 miles on the clock. If you want it for yourself, just contact us.

Ford’s famous pony car, the Mustang, just keeps on galloping and galloping! Even with the proliferation of EVs and the relentless customer demand for SUVs, this legendary nameplate is still around to this day. It’s now in the seventh generation which debuted in 2024, and shows no signs of slowing down. Ever since the first Mustangs rolled off the Dearborn lines in mid-1964, the Mustang has represented the everyperson sports car, aptly called a pony car. Today’s 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse is from the seventh generation, and is a special variant with enhanced performance for the streets, much in the vein of the original Boss Mustang 302 of the Sixties. With its 5.0-liter V8, Dark Horse badging and carbon-fiber hood, this Havana-based car boasts just 2,000 miles on the odometer.
