Lamborghini's entry-level sports car debuted in 2003, as the Sant'Agata-based automaker wanted to broaden their appeal and customer base. The Gallardo is the second model developed after Audi AG took over Lamborghini and would see a notable improvement in comfort and quality. This 2004 Lamborghini Gallardo comes with a light 24,300 miles and a few enhancements to boot. One of Lamborghini's most popular models, it is widely tipped to be a future classic, making this car a nice weekend toy and a shrewd future investment.
Some Gallardos come in bright shades of yellow, orange, green, and red. This 2004 Lamborghini Gallardo eschews those for a more restrained Grigio Altair paintwork, with black HRE P40SC wheels that were mounted in October 2022. The current owner reports that the factory wheels are included in the sale. Head to the rear, and you can see the Tubi-style exhaust, as reported by the current owner. The overall exterior and undercarriage condition of this Gallardo appears decent, judging from the photos. As well as loud exterior colors, one could spec equally loud interior colors, but once again, this 2004 Lamborghini Gallardo eschews those for a black interior that seats two on leather-trimmed bucket seats. The driver grips a sporty flat-bottomed steering wheel that hosts the paddle shifters for the E-gear transmission and gazes at a classic analog Lamborghini cluster. The tachometer redlined at 8,500rpm is enough to set pulses racing, as is the speedometer topping out at 210mph. Moving to the center stack, the Audi influence is visible in the climate control panel design. The current owner reports that there's a Kenwood aftermarket head unit with Bluetooth capability, as well as a reverse camera. We've also observed an Alpine amplifier and Kenwood subwoofer augmenting the factory speaker setup. If you're wondering about luggage, there's a small frunk or front trunk that can hold some soft bags.
Sporting a lovely, high-revving, naturally aspirated 5.0L V10 lends this 2004 Lamborghini Gallardo a characterful soul that you'd be hard-pressed to find among modern sports cars. The powerplant is no slouch either, putting out 493hp at 7,800rpm and 376lb-ft at 4,500rpm. Zero to sixty takes 4.2 seconds, and the top speed is rated at 192mph. Drive goes to the wheels via a six-speed automated manual transmission called E-Gear. The current owner reports a Kevlar clutch that the previous owner had installed in 2017 but has only driven a couple of thousand miles ever since.
