There are people who take pride in being able to claim, "I built this in my garage" among those who lust after popular logos on their cars. Factory Five Racing (FFR) gives you the opportunity to purchase assembly kits along with the necessary components to build replicas of your favorite cars or your own supercars. Founded in 1995, FFR started off with the original FFR roadster, which was based on the much loved high- performance Mustang. Following that the Challenge Series Racer, Type 65 Coupe, GTM Supercar, ’33 Hot Rod and the Project 818 were debuted. According to Car and Driver magazine, the GTM LS7 tested was able to beat fabled cars such as Porsche Carrera GT and Lamborghini Murcielago SV. Presented here is an endearing example of the 2008 Factory Five GTM LS3 supercar, which is also the flagship model of FFR. It is reported that all parts of this GTM were new when built and installed.
Exterior and Interior
The Factory Five GTM LS3 enjoys undeniable supercar looks that allows it to huddle in with fellow supercars in the market. The alluring silhouette of this car is currently wrapped in gray and black Satin Charcoal. Reportedly, it also sports the same color, which is not satin under the wraps. It features Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires that grips the road tightly, as well as bronze wheels with spacers, which complements the body wrap. In addition, carbon fiber is used for the wing, rear splitter, and ground affects kit. This 2008 Factory Five GTM LS3 also serves up a quality interior contrasted in black and saddle colors. The driver-focused dashboard is fitted with five simplistic white gauges that communicate all important information. It also features a JVC HD radio, and the ignition key switch is placed in the center console above the gear shifter. The electronic door popper can also be controlled by the key fob for dramatic effect.
Engine
Hot Rod magazine featured the Factory Five GTM Supercar and stated, “If you even look at the gas pedal, it will flatten you face in an instant”. Under this stunning gray body is a LS3 V8 engine combined with a 5-speed manual transmission. With a reported power output of about 490 horsepower, it goes ballistic in a blink. A peek underneath the car will reveal a Porsche transaxle giving this GTM neutral and stable handling qualities.
