One of the most interesting and true-to-original modern muscle cars has got to be the third-generation Dodge Challenger. When it debuted in 2008, the American public were thrilled because here was a car that looked like it came from the golden era of muscle cars – the Sixties! Yet, it also had modern elements to its look, an up-to-date passenger cabin, and a slew of modern, punchy engines, including, of course, V8s. The Challenger in this form would be made right up until 2023, assembled in Brampton and always made as a two-door notchback coupe. But hang on, convertibles do exist. Yes, we’ve got a 1 of 1 build by Droptop Customs, in the form of this 72-mile 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 Convertible. Indeed, this is one special car that’s definitely a collector’s piece but who’s to say you can’t enjoy it? If you absolutely must own this machine, contact us ASAP because it lives in Boca Raton, Florida. Oh, and we must casually mention that it’s got 1,025 horses under the hood.
Exterior and Interior
Wearing a special B5 Blue paint coat, this 2023 Dodge Challenger Custom Convertible looks stunning thanks in no small part to its white convertible top. The car features the SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody Kit (27Q) as well as the 170 Satin Black Hood Graphic option. It’s also got a Last Call underhood plaque. The Premium Group has also been selected for this car. The custom white leather interior of this 2023 Dodge Challenger Custom Convertible is highly specified. It’s got blue accents, the uConnect 4C Nav infotainment system, a multifunction steering wheel, air conditioning with automatic climate control, and a little plaque on the passenger side of the dashboard that tells us that this is an SRT Demon 170 variant! The only tradeoff with this special drop-top variant is that trunk space is marginally reduced but who cares?
Engine
At the heart of the 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 is a 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8 engineered specifically for high-ethanol fuel performance. Paired with the TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission and a reinforced 240mm rear axle, the engine is capable of producing up to 1,025 horsepower and 945 lb-ft of torque when running E85. It features upgraded internals, higher boost calibration, an advanced transbrake system, line lock, launch control with launch assist, and adaptive damping suspension to maximize traction. Combined with the drag radial wheel setup and factory-installed launch technologies, the Demon 170 delivers sub-9-second quarter-mile capability in stock form, making it one of the most extreme factory muscle cars ever offered to the public.
The Challenger Demon was already one of the wildest production cars ever created, but Dodge wasn’t finished. Enter the 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170, the ultimate expression of factory-built American muscle and the final chapter of the legendary HEMI-powered Challenger. Designed to exploit E85 fuel, the Demon 170 shattered expectations with a staggering 1,025 horsepower and 945 lb-ft of torque, making it the quickest production muscle car ever built. Showing just 561 miles, this collector-grade example is finished in Demonic Red over a Black Laguna leather interior and is exceptionally well optioned with the sought-after Carbon Fiber 2-Piece Wheels, Power Sunroof, Premium Laguna Leather Seats, and Harman Kardon 18-speaker audio system. With virtually no signs of use, this Demon 170 represents an extraordinary opportunity to own one of the most desirable and historically significant modern Mopars ever produced.
The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon was engineered with one purpose in mind: absolute drag strip domination. Produced for a single model year in limited numbers, the Demon pushed the boundaries of what a factory-built muscle car could accomplish, becoming the first production car capable of lifting its front wheels during a hard launch. Equipped with groundbreaking technologies such as TransBrake, Torque Reserve, and the SRT Power Chiller, the Demon instantly became a modern performance icon and one of the most collectible Mopars ever built. Showing just 3,142 miles, this Yellow Jacket example has seen exceptionally limited use, making it a highly desirable opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts seeking one of the finest factory drag cars ever produced.
The Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack Widebody already stands among the most capable modern American muscle cars, but this 2019 example has been transformed into something far more serious. Showing approximately 24,915 miles, it features a professionally rebuilt and extensively upgraded 6.4L HEMI stroker engine topped with a Whipple supercharger, creating a combination that's built to handle substantially more power than stock. The engine build includes premium internal components, ARP hardware, upgraded valvetrain components, and a custom HP Tuners calibration optimized for E85 fuel. Combined with the factory Widebody package, this Challenger delivers the aggressive looks and performance to match.
Introduced for the 2006 model year, the Dodge Charger SRT8 brought modern American muscle back to the full-size sedan segment by combining aggressive styling with serious V8 performance. Powered by Chrysler's legendary 6.1L HEMI V8, the SRT8 was engineered by Street & Racing Technology (SRT) to offer sports car levels of acceleration while maintaining the practicality of a four-door sedan. This 2007 Dodge Charger SRT-8 is equipped with both SRT Option Group I and II packages, adding desirable luxury and technology features that make it one of the best-equipped examples of its generation. Finished in Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl over a Dark/Light Slate Gray interior, this Charger delivers the unmistakable presence and performance that made the early SRT models instant modern classics.
Few compact muscle cars are as highly regarded as the 1969 Dodge Dart Swinger 340. Introduced as Dodge's lightweight performance model, the Swinger paired the potent 340ci V8 with the nimble A-body platform to create a car that could challenge much larger muscle cars while maintaining excellent street manners. Showing approximately 48,402 miles, this example retains its factory-inspired appearance with a correct-style 340 Four Barrel engine, white vinyl roof, and distinctive gold metallic finish. Tastefully preserved and ready to enjoy, this Dart Swinger offers collectors an opportunity to own one of Mopar's most celebrated performance cars from the golden era of American muscle.
The 1980s marked the golden age of American turbocharged performance, and few cars embodied that movement better than the 1988 Dodge Daytona Shelby Turbo Z. Developed through the collaboration between Dodge and legendary performance icon Carroll Shelby, the Shelby Turbo Z combined aggressive styling with advanced turbocharged engineering to create one of the most capable front-wheel-drive performance coupes of its era. Equipped with the potent Turbo II engine and a driver-focused chassis, it proved that exhilarating performance didn't require V8 power. This example has traveled just 67,581 miles and is finished in White over a striking Garnet Red leather interior. Featuring desirable factory T-top roof panels and Shelby-exclusive equipment, this Daytona represents a rare opportunity to own one of the defining American performance cars of the late 1980s.
Presenting this 1981 Chevrolet Corvette, a highly customized C3 that blends classic American performance with bold, retro-inspired styling.
