Bullitt, starring Steve McQueen, was one of the most iconic movies of the Sixties. Who can forget that iconic scene where McQueen’s character burns plenty of rubber in a 1968 Ford Mustang GT Fastback? The car was painted in a distinctive shade of green, and subsequently, there would be many Bullitt Mustang editions available to the public. So, when Ford turned to retro-modern design with the fifth generation of the Mustang, it was logical for a Bullitt Edition to follow. This particular 2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt has just 22,990 miles on the clock and comes with two keys, plus all servicing up to date. Most importantly, it proudly bears Steve McQueen’s signature on the faux aluminum dash, and comes with a Frank Bullitt license plate too.
In true homage to the original Bullitt Mustang, this 2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt wears a Dark Highland Green coat, and rolls on a set of dark alloy wheels. The car sports a foglamp-less grille with chrome bezel and includes a unique aluminum sill plate with the Bullitt logo as you enter the car. You’ll also notice that this 2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt sits lower than stock, thanks to a set of lowering springs. However, the original springs are included in the sale in case you prefer the stock ride height. The rear decklid also features a unique Bullitt crosshair medallion. The interior of this 2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt comes with the aforementioned Steve McQueen signature, plus many other Bullitt specialties. There’s a unique aluminum shifter ball knob, gunsight graphics on the gauges, and Shelby GT500-style sport front seats plus steering wheel. The car comes with a set of all-weather mats, but the original mats are included with the sale. Of course, you’ve got the necessary comfort features, such as heating and air conditioning, as well as a touchscreen infotainment system.
This 2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt can definitely burn rubber, thanks to its 4.6L V8 with a reported 315hp and 325lb-ft. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. You’ll also discover a serialization plate on the front tower brace, highlighting the car’s exclusivity.
