Supercharger broke world record for in Texas Mile @ 220 mph
Carroll Shelby was a racer at heart. But when he wasn’t racing, he was frequently found making Fords go faster. That's one reason why the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is a model known by all in the car community. The S197-generation Ford Mustang revived the Shelby GT500 moniker thanks to a collaboration between Ford’s Special Vehicle Team and Shelby American. The resultant product featured a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 engine under the hood, with a nice round figure of 500 hp to the rear wheels. And while any Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is special, our featured car takes things a step further. It includes a Kenne Bell Mammoth 1100HP supercharger, along with multiple other upgrades and unique styling additions. With just 13,600 miles reported, this 2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Coupe is the ideal car for those looking for something to stand out from the crowd.

The exterior of this 2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Coupe has been revised with some unique accessories. The Vapor Metallic paintwork features the classic over-the-top racing stripe and unique Shelby GT500 badging. You’ll also notice the unique fiberglass hood with air extractors and a Shelby rear decklid spoiler to add to the impressive and aggressive looks. The car sits on 18-inch bright machined alloy wheels wrapped in brand-new tires. Slide past the roll cage and into the upgraded Sparco sport bucket seats (complete with harnesses), and you’ll find a black interior. The seats reportedly feature an embossed Shelby logo, while the car also includes the Shelby interior package. The driver is presented with a leather-stitched three-spoke steering wheel, complete with audio controls, thumb grips, and the Shelby snake logo. Behind the wheel, you’ll find light-toned cluster gauges with a boost gauge. Other features include keyless go, a rear window defroster, and a Shaker 500 premium sound system.

Under the hood of the standard 2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Coupe was a supercharged 5.4-liter V8. The engine has since been upgraded with a Kenne Bell Mammoth 1100HP supercharger, and the exhaust system has also been upgraded. On the underside of the fiberglass hood, there is a Cobra mural painted. This GT500 also features anti-lock brakes, Brembo vented discs and calipers, and an SVT-tuned suspension. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. The owner reports that the engine oil has recently been changed and is currently tuned to 850 hp with 700+ HP to the rear wheels all running on 93 octane.
