Jeep has been in the business of producing amazing 4x4 vehicles since World War II. Their vehicle's capabilities are legendary, so much so that certain parts of the world call all SUVs as Jeeps. Jeep's most popular model is the Wrangler, it's the direct successor of the Jeep CJ. The Wrangler was introduced in 1986 and is still going strong in its fourth generation. Up for grabs is a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon with a host of upgrades and 99,000 miles on the odometer.
Black metallic paint finishes this 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon's exterior, along with aftermarket metal front and rear bumpers along with the fender flares produced by XRC. A set of Fuel beadlock-capable tires expands its terrain maneuverability with an added flourish. Apart from the original paint, almost all the exterior parts have been replaced with aftermarket options. A Smittybilt X2O 10,000 lb winch is in place as well. The front fascia has been replaced with a black honeycomb pattern grille with shaded headlights. A black snorkel reaches out from the hood, thus affording you excellent wading options. Furthermore, a Smittybilt XRC front and rear fender flares are in place, while the middle is taken up by the Smittybilt tubular rock sliders finished in matte black. The rear has seen extensive upgrades in terms of a Smittybilt XRC GEN2 rear bumper built from cold rolled steel and ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene with embedded LED lights and painted in textured matte black. The interior features predominantly black trim with a textured cloth finish for the seats. Keeping the interior clean are Jeep-branded rugged rubber floor mats. The three-spoke steering wheel features a rugged finish as well as multifunction capabilities.
The 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon uses a newer 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine coupled with a satisfying 6-speed manual transmission. Power output is at 285hp, along with 260 lb.ft of torque. All-wheel disc brakes assure immediate stopping power, while the Toyo A/T Open Country Xtreme off-road wheels assure a grip on whatever terrain you seek to conquer with the Jeep.

The 2018 Wrangler Unlimited is the modern, four-door take on Jeep’s classic off-road icon, known for its removable doors and roof, body-on-frame toughness and huge aftermarket support. This one is built with a clear purpose: it keeps the dependable 3.6L Pentastar V6 and 8-speed automatic for easy daily driving, then adds major off-road-ready upgrades like a 3.75” lift, 37” Nitto tires and Fuel wheels to dramatically increase stance and trail capability. With Customer Preferred Package 24S, a Freedom Top hard top and added tech like a Stinger 13” touchscreen, it’s set up to look the part and be comfortable enough for regular use, not just weekend trails.

Whatever happened to Jeep’s famous CJ or Civilian Jeep series from 1948 until 1986? Well, you see, it became the Wrangler! Yes, that’s why the two have some serious commonalities in terms of not only styling, but sheer off-road ability. The Wrangler nameplate took over in 1986, with some comprehensive re-engineering, but the basic principles have remained true to this day. That’s why today’s 1997 Jeep Wrangler Sport is a formidable off-road buddy to have. It’s got 118,000 miles and hails from Wichita, Kansas. Plus, it’s part of the TJ or second generation, which came for the 1997 model year.

The Wrangler is descended directly from the WWII Willys Jeep. It's no surprise that it shares several features with the original Jeep, such as removable doors. Fans often describe the 1997–2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ generation as a "sweet spot." This generation offers the renowned look of the original Jeep while blending modern mechanical upgrades and improved comfort. Fans welcomed the TJ's return of the classic round headlights from the previous CJ models. The 2002 Jeep Wrangler came with four main trim levels, namely, SE, X, Sport, and Sahara. What we have here is a 2002 Jeep Wrangler Sahara, which is the top-tier trim, adding more premium features and distinct styling. Bearing 114302 miles on its odometer, this Wrangler awaits in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for its new owner.

The Jeep CJ or Civilian Jeep was born out of a corporate need to survive. Willys-Overland used to supply the US Military with Jeeps for World War II. In 1944, they realized that with the War due to end, their lucrative orders would also dry up. So, they turned their attention to an America that was soon due to experience an agricultural and industrial boom, and decided to adapt the military Jeep into the CJ. This proved tougher said than done, because military Jeeps had lifespans of months or even weeks. They were throw-away items. A civilian Jeep, on the other hand, would also experience harsh use but be expected to last for years and even decades. Nevertheless, they did it, and the Jeep CJ was made from 1945 until 1986 across several iterations. Then, the successor gained a name that we know to this day; Wrangler. So, why not celebrate that glorious legacy and buy this 1978 Jeep CJ-5 that’s up for sale in Florida? With a 258ci straight six, a custom paint job, Bilstein performance shocks and more goodies, this is an off-road buddy that will never let you down.

The Civilian Jeep, or Willys Jeep CJ is what eventually became the Wrangler that we know and love to this day. Conceived in 1948 as a civilian variant to the popular military Jeep, the CJ ran until 1986. The CJ-7 variant was one of the latest at the time, made between 1976 and 1986. That’s what we have here today, a 1985 Jeep CJ-7 for sale from Burnsville, Minnesota. This Jeep packs around 91,747 miles on the clock and has received a 327ci V8 engine upgrade, with a Holley 4-barrel carburetor. It’s also got the Heavy-Duty Suspension Package, making it fantastic for someone who is seeking a fun but tough and capable off-road machine for weekend forays into the wilderness.
