The seventh generation Corvette can be considered a significant milestone in the Corvette’s storied history, as it is the last of the front-engined ‘Vettes. It’s also a fine sports car in its own right. That’s why this 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible 3LZ is a definite future classic, as well as a highly desirable option right now. With 26,000 miles on the clock, it’s got plenty of life left in it too. Being the Z06 model, it’s not just another regular C7 ‘Vette either.

First off, this C7 Corvette doesn’t sport a loud body color such as red or yellow, foregoing that for a subtly menacing Shark Gray Metallic paintjob. The Carbon Flash painted Ground Effects Package adds to the race-ready appearance, as do the sharp-eyed headlamps and clear quad taillamps, another Corvette signature. It rolls on a set of aftermarket forged wheels with Z06 factory look, that the seller reports to be more durable than the stock ones! Red brake calipers lurk behind the wheels and add some color to the monochrome outlook. The power folding convertible top is in black, and dropping it grants you infinite headroom, air, and sunlight. The 3LZ Equipment Group has been specified too. You might want to drop the top at every opportunity, because while a black interior is nice, it can also be a bit dark, especially in a two-seater. Thankfully, you’ve got plenty of toys to enjoy, including electrically adjustable seats that are heated and ventilated, climate control, cruise control, touchscreen infotainment system, Bose sound system and more. The passenger gets their own climate control temperature selection in a small control panel beneath the air vent by their door. Another interesting feature is the gauge cluster, which, while primarily analog, features a digital screen within the central rev counter.

This 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible 3LZ comes with a spicy 6.2L (376ci) LT4 V8 that’s got a 1.7L Eaton supercharger strapped to it, plus an intercooler to cool the compressed air being fed into the V8. The result is 650hp at 6,400rpm and 650lb-ft at 3,600rpm, sent to the rear wheels on this example by a Hydramatic 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters for manual gear selection. This is good enough for a sub-4 second zero to sixty run, and a top speed of 185mph.

In 2005, Chevrolet revealed the all-new C6 or sixth generation Corvette. It did away with pop-up headlamps due to tightening safety regulations, but improved upon the C5 in nearly every other way. Whether it be power, performance or luxury features, the C6 represented a healthy upgrade over the C5. That’s why even today, C6 Corvettes like this 2007 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe are considered to be a great way to sample America’s greatest home-grown sports car marque. This particular car has just 14,732 miles on the clock and comes from Colorado. It’s got the 3LT Preferred Equipment Group, the Magnetic Selective Ride Control adaptive suspension system and a lovely 6.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 under the hood.

The second generation or C2 Chevy Corvette came in 1963, bringing that famous split-screen window to the party. Sadly it was discontinued after just one year due to rearward visibility concerns. But, the C2 also gave the Corvette things like pop-up headlamps, only V8s under the hood, and the Stingray badge. Hence, finding and acquiring a C2 in great condition is a very smart decision, soulfully, as well as financially. Thankfully, we’ve done the finding part for you, and present this 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible for your consideration. This sub 43,000-mile survivor car from Riverhead, New York comes with a Turbo-Jet 427ci V8 and 4-speed transmission, original keys, the original owner’s manual and even a Protect-O-Plate included with the sale.

The last year of C7 or seventh generation Corvette production was 2019, before the all-new C8 came with its mid-engined layout and new styling. So, if you really want to celebrate the last of the front-engined Corvettes, we have a glorious swansong up for grabs in St. Simons Island, Georgia. With a mere 1,044 miles to its name, this 2019 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible Hennessey HPE850 is a snarling 850-horsepower beast that enjoys the Hennessey Performance HPE850 package for its 6.2-liter supercharged V8. That’s not all, the car also comes with staggered Vicari alloy wheels and an XIK/ITC widebody conversion.

One of General Motors’ most successful and popular A-body midsize cars, the Chevy Chevelle ran between 1963 and 1977, across three generations. It was offered in sedan, station wagon, coupe, convertible, hardtop and coupe utility forms. Back in the day, it was the default choice for many families who wanted clean, reliable and easy motoring, especially when you choose a station wagon. Now, some of these classics have become restomods, like this 1,242-mile 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Concours Restomod LS3 from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This spacious station wagon packs a 6.2-liter LS3 V8, an aftermarket sound system, a reupholstered leather interior and more goodies to make it sweeter on every drive. The car has reportedly been refreshed by Luce Customs.
