If you’ve come across Maserati, you’d have an idea of who they are. These guys are manufacturers of fine Italian sports cars with a degree of luxury as well as performance. Penned by Pininfarina’s Jason Castriota, the GranTurismo was revealed to the world at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show. The cabin also boasts alcantara headliner, contrast stitching and the Maserati Trident logo embroidery in the head rests. The driver is presented with a three-spoke steering wheel, chunky aluminum paddle shifters and aluminum pedals are present as well. Blue-faced dials communicate the vital information, with the 7,500rpm redlined rev counter indicating that this engine likes to sing. You also get dual-zone climate control, and an infotainment system with CD player and navigation, and a premium sound system.
This 2017 Maserati GranTurismo Coupe is powered by a Ferrari engine, the Ferrari F136Y 4.7L naturally aspirated V8 that pumps out 444hp and 510lb-ft to the rear wheels via a six-speed automatic gearbox. This grants the GranTurismo Coupe the ability to sprint from zero to sixty in under five seconds, and touch nearly 185mph at the top end. Double wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear suspension ensure the handling is up there too, and large ventilated disc brakes bring the beast to a sure-footed halt every time.
