Overview of 2013 BMW M3 Competition For Sale by Owner

The E92 series of M3 from BMW is undoubtedly one of the most revered generations of this teutonic German sports coupe. Largely down the much-loved V8 engine and sublime chassis, the E90 series a sought-after sports car in any state. Our subject car raises the bar, with a host of performance modifications carried out to an already attractive and capable base. Not only does it feature a wildly-tuned, turbocharged 4-liter V8 motor producing 856 wheel HP, but it also features the holy grail of many automotive enthusiasts: a manual transmission. In fact, this 2013 BMW M3 Competition is one of only 2500 manual LCI (facelift) E92 M3s in North America.

Exterior and Interior

Finished in one of the E92 M3’s quintessential colors, Laguna Seca Blue (straight from BMW’s Individual catalog), this M3 Competition already ticks one large box for enthusiasts. It features a Vorsteiner front bumper and a Varis rear diffuser. This M3 rides on 19-inch Forgestar wheels wrapped in Toyo Proxes R888R DOT competition tires. If that wasn’t enough, two of the most distinctive modifications are the track-spec GT hood vents and headlights done by OneEighty NYC. The interior features a number of added options from the factory, including the Smoker’s package, electric leather seats with memory, and carbon-fiber trim. Also included is navigation and Park Distance Control (parking sensors), as well as BMW’s Light Package and electronic damper control. An aftermarket, F80-style instrument cluster has been installed, along with a shifter from an M5.

Engine

With figures as high as 856 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque, this BMW M3 Competition has had some serious work done to it. This includes an Alky methanol kit coupled to a twin-turbo set-up from Gintani. Gintani also supplies the custom fuel kit and custom exhaust. The engine has been built with Carillo rods, and VAC did the heads. While the car is currently running on E85, we’re told it can be changed to run on pump gas. Other improvements over factory include a Tripple-disc clutch kit, and MRF Engineering solid subframe and differential bushings.

2026 BMW Z4 M40i Handschalter Edition

Current Ask
SOLD

For years, the BMW Z4 M40i has occupied a sweet spot in the modern roadster world: compact, rear-wheel drive, open-top, and powered by BMW’s turbocharged inline-six. The Handschalter Edition takes that formula and pushes it much closer to the sort of sports car enthusiasts have been asking BMW to build. Instead of relying on an automatic, this 2026 BMW Z4 M40i Handschalter Edition pairs its 3.0L turbocharged inline-six with a 6-speed manual transmission, restoring a level of involvement that has become increasingly rare in modern performance cars. Finished in San Remo Green Metallic over Cognac Vernasca leather, this example also brings together the Handschalter, Premium, Driving Assistance, and Shadowline packages, along with adaptive M suspension, an M Sport differential, red-calipered M Sport brakes, a head-up display, Harman Kardon surround sound, and 19-inch M wheels. It is a specification that blends traditional roadster character with modern BMW performance, making it as appealing for a back-road drive as it is for a top-down weekend cruise.
