When it comes to luxurious convertibles, Mercedes-Benz has always had the market cornered. But, with the announcement that from 2021 Mercedes-Benz will be dropping the next-generation S-Class Coupe and Convertible from their US line-up, this S-Class Convertible could well be one of the last examples of such luxury, poise, and power available to discerning customers in a drop-top body-style. What makes this 2017 Mercedes-AMG S63 4Matic more special is that it’s an “Edition 130” limited release trim which was created to commemorate 130 years of the internal combustion engine. As such it features a unique interior combination and subtle Edition 130 badging.
Exterior and Interior
The interior combination of red and black leather is complemented by piano black dashboard trim with carbon fiber — an interior option unique to the Edition 130 version of the Mercedes-AMG S63 Cabriolet. You’ll also find Edition 130 insignias dotted around the cabin. The Mercedes-AMG S63 Cabriolet leaves little to be desired, with a host of interior adornments, including a warm “air-scarf” to keep you comfortable during colder drives with the top down. You also get front, rear, and side cameras with infrared night vision, and a deployable front and rear wind deflector. Also included is a heads-up display and pedestrian alert automated emergency braking.
Engine
The AMG-developed engine on the S63 is a 5.5-liter V8 with two turbos which outputs 585hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. It sends power to all four wheels thanks to the inclusion of 4Matic on this top-of-the-line S63 edition of the S-Class Coupe. Despite the incredible 5000-pound heft of the Mercedes-AMG S63 4Matic Edition 130, it achieves the 0-60mph sprint in a shockingly brisk 3.7 seconds.
The 2015 Mercedes-Benz S 63 AMG 4MATIC Coupe represents the perfect fusion of luxury and high performance, delivering flagship comfort with unmistakable AMG power. As part of the prestigious S-Class lineup, this coupe offers grand touring capability with aggressive styling and advanced technology. Showing 83,478 miles, this example has been enjoyed while still maintaining its presence as a premium performance coupe. Finished in a sleek black-on-black specification, it carries a timeless and understated look, further complemented by tasteful upgrades such as aftermarket wheels and an enhanced sound system. With its twin-turbo V8, all-wheel-drive system, and refined cabin, this S 63 AMG Coupe remains one of the most well-rounded luxury performance cars of its era.
The S-Class nameplate is one with a long history of producing technologically advanced, full-size luxury sedans. However, for a few years between 2015 and 2021 it also came in the form of a coupe (named the C217 generation). It filled the role left empty by the retirement of the CL-Class and followed the same concept: pillarless luxury grand tourer. The S63 AMG version added the word ‘high performance’ to that description and shares the same drivetrain as its sedan counterpart. Mercedes packed the S coupe with the same industry-leading technology that the sedan got, but the market for a car of this caliber was quite niche, leading to its discontinuation after 2021 as it didn’t meet the production numbers that Mercedes wanted (leaving buyers with the option of getting an E-Class coupe or an SL now). While the relatively low sales were bad news for Mercedes, it means that current and future S-Class Coupe owners have a rarer car on their hands, potentially making it a sought-after future classic one day (especially the more desirable models like the S 63 AMG).
The most popular mainstream luxury car in the world, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class represents an aspirational point and a life goal for many. It’s a full-size luxury car that you treat yourself to, when you can afford one and have made it in life. The S-Class name came in 1972, but the model itself has parentage dating back to 1954. Of course, you’ll also find performance-oriented examples fettled by none other than AMG, those famous Mercedes-Benz tuners who are now a part of the parent company – in fact, they’ve got a line-up of Mercedes-AMG models available. Today, we’ve got a potent 2008 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG from W221 era or fifth generation of S-Class. This car comes from Bonita Springs, Florida and has amassed around 110,000 miles, ready for action.
The Mercedes-AMG G 63 has long represented the pinnacle of performance luxury SUVs, combining the unmistakable silhouette of the legendary G-Class with handcrafted AMG power and cutting-edge technology. For 2026, the model enters a new era with the addition of a 48-volt mild hybrid system, enhancing both performance and efficiency while preserving the commanding character that has made the G 63 an automotive icon. This particular example shows just 178 miles and is finished in elegant Iridium Silver Metallic over a Black Nappa Leather interior. Equipped with desirable factory options including 22-inch AMG polished forged monoblock wheels, the Seat Comfort Package, AMG red brake calipers, and multicontour massage seats, this nearly new G 63 offers buyers the opportunity to experience one of the world’s most sought-after luxury SUVs without the wait associated with a factory order.
The Mercedes-Benz W113 “Pagoda” is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful roadsters ever produced, blending elegant styling, engineering sophistication, and grand touring comfort into a timeless package. This 1965 Mercedes-Benz 230 SL Restomod takes that iconic foundation and elevates it with modern Mercedes-Benz performance and drivability through the installation of a 5.0L M113 V8 and matching 5G-Tronic automatic transmission sourced from a 2003 SL500. Showing approximately 7,571 miles, this professionally upgraded roadster combines the unmistakable charm of a classic Pagoda with contemporary reliability, comfort, and power, creating a unique driving experience that can be enjoyed far more frequently than a traditional vintage automobile.
Mercedes-Benz created the CL-Class to represent the pinnacle of grand touring luxury, and this 2008 Mercedes-Benz CL 65 AMG Coupe sits firmly at the top of that hierarchy. Showing approximately 60,196 miles, this flagship AMG combines handcrafted V12 power with cutting-edge technology and exceptional comfort, delivering an experience that few coupes of its era could rival. Finished in a timeless black-on-black specification and equipped with sought-after features including Distronic Plus Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Assist, Night View Assist, Dynamic Multi-Contour Seats, and a premium sound system, this CL 65 AMG remains one of the most exclusive and technologically advanced Mercedes-Benz models of the late 2000s. With its twin-turbocharged V12 and limited production numbers, it continues to be regarded as one of AMG’s greatest grand touring machines.
