Background Story of this 1956 Ford F-100

Overview of 1956 Ford F-100 For Sale by Owner

The Ford F-Series came in 1948, and has continued uninterrupted to this day. Fourteen generations have been made, and it’s one of the longest-running nameplates in American automotive history. This 1956 Ford F-100 comes from the second generation of the series and has been subjected to a full frame-off restoration effort. With a V8 and plenty of attention paid to bring it to near-factory condition, this is a great classic truck for the discerning collector, as well as first-time collector alike. Since it’s seen just 328 miles of driving post-restoration, you’ll basically be its first owner, in a way!

Exterior and Interior

This 1956 Ford F-100 has been repainted in a stunning shade of black, polished to a glossy shine and complemented by a set of five-spoke aluminum alloy wheels. This gives the truck a sort of restomod appearance, especially as it appears to sit lower than stock, thanks to its air suspension system. Meanwhile, the truck’s original style headlamps and taillamps remain, as do its custom front polished stainless steel bumber, rear chromed bumper, and trim elements. The truck’s cargo non-wood bed has also been refinished to a near-brand new finish, featuring 3 quarter inch billet aluminum planks. We’re also told that the wheels and tires are new, making this truck basically a drive-away classic. The interior of this 1956 Ford F-100 has seen a makeover as well, and sports a custom two-tone green theme, with low-back leather-upholstered seating, an aftermarket steering wheel, new gauges, and even a custom sound system. This uses amplifiers mounted beneath the seats, as well as speakers in the doors and rear cab panel. The system is controlled via a Kenwood single-DIN head unit with USB and AUX inputs, plus a CD player, in case regular radio isn’t sufficient. There also appears to be air conditioning, new heating and ventilation system in place.

Engine

Powering this lovely restomod 1956 Ford F-100 is a 302ci V8 paired with a C4 automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. The current owner says that the truck is fitted with disc brakes for better stopping power. This is one restoration that you can drive like it just rolled off the factory lines, even choosing to use it as your daily transportation if you desire.

It’s a classic F-Series half-ton truck, but features an LT1 V8, an automatic gearbox, a custom interior with air conditioning and Bluetooth, and so much more. 2002 Ford Thunderbird Deluxe

Current Ask
VERIFIED SELLER
PENDING SALE
$22,500

The Ford Thunderbird was made between 1955 and 1997 across ten generations, and redefined the Personal Luxury Car for Americans. In fact, it created the segment, largely inspired by the Grand Tourers of Europe. So, in the 2000s, Ford was feeling a little misty eyed and decided to create a rose-tinted eleventh generation homage to this iconic nameplate. Enter the retro-modern Thunderbird that was made between 2002 and 2005. Styled by Jack Telnack, the car sat on the Ford DEW98 platform, used an engine from Jaguar (who Ford owned at the time), and marked a return to roots of sorts, in that it was a two-seater, just like the first generation. Over 68,000 examples were made, and we have one for sale. Say hello to this original owner, all-stock 2002 Ford Thunderbird from South Jordan, Utah, that’s got just 13,085 miles on the clock.

The famous Ford F-Series was born in 1948, as America was emerging into a post-war world of promise and prosperity. Now in the fourteenth generation, the F-Series has got to be the world’s longest-running truck series, if not one of the longest. Today, the F-150 is the most popular variant as the half-tonner, but if we look at the first generation, the range simply started with the F-1 as the half-ton variant. That’s what we have here, a 1950 Ford F-1 Restomod from Groveport, Ohio. It’s received a thorough makeover with a 350ci V8 under the hood, an automatic gearbox, a converted 12-volt electrical system and more.
