Overview of 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-Door Sedan Restomod For Sale by Owner

Named straight after the swanky California neighborhood of Bel Air, you can see who Chevy was trying to attract with this full-sized car of the Fifties. The Bel Air came in various forms, including as a sedan, hardtop, convertible, and station wagon. Underneath, it utilized GM’s A-Body platform and was available with a range of V8 engines. Today, we have a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-Door Sedan Restomod that’s a second-generation example. However, this car has received an extensive makeover, including a massive 502ci crate V8, Holley Demon fuel injection, and a custom beige interior. With just 2,388 miles after its second life was granted, this machine is now up for grabs in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

Exterior and Interior

Painted in Matador Red and sitting lower than stock, this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-Door Sedan Restomod rides on a set of polished American Racing Torq Thrust II wheels. It retains many of its original design cues, such as the chrome bumpers and white side inserts, for a suitably period-correct stance. With its sky-high rear fins and headlamps with brows, this is definitely a car to showcase with pride. The custom beige interior of this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-Door Sedan Restomod comes with a custom center console, as well as custom analog gauges. You’ve also got Vintage Air heating and air conditioning, a B&M Big Boy rachet shifter, sport pedals and a nice sporty steering wheel. Meanwhile, the front seats are newer aftermarket units and have power adjustment too. The sound system has also received a shot in the arm, courtesy of an aftermarket touchscreen head unit and newer speakers from Boss. Even the trunk hasn’t escaped scrutiny and now looks very pleasant with a color-matched liner as well. The battery had been relocated here, too.

Engine

This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-Door Sedan Restomod now packs a mega 502ci crate V8 with Holley Demon fuel injection. Drive goes to the rear wheels through a sturdy and dependable TH400 3-speed automatic transmission. There’s a dual stainless steel exhaust system, an aluminum radiator with braided lines and electric fans, and even Wilwood 4-wheel power-assisted disc brakes. Yes, this is a classic that you can drive with ease.
