The first-generation Chevrolet Corvette is one of the most sought-after American classics in the world, and there’s a good reason why. It started a line of serious sports cars that continues to exist to this day. With a range of engine and transmission options on offer, the Corvette proved to be a genuine performance car. It also featured a fiberglass body, which saved weight. And, of course, it also looked the part. With ’50s styling cues, the Corvette is likely the first car to spring to mind when thinking of a classic American convertible. The 1959 model year marked the last year of production for the C1 Corvette, and as you’d expect, it’s a popular model year for a number of reasons. The styling ditched the superficial louvers on the hood, while engineering changes to the rear of the ’Vette helped improve handling. The car you see featured here is offered for sale with a numbers-matching engine and manual transmission , making it a rare example of originality.
This particular 1959 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible has been subjected to a major refresh, with work completed fairly recently in 2017. The roadster is finished in an eye-catching shade of bright red, with the iconic side coves finished in a contrasting white. Matching the two-tone theme, you’ll also find a new white soft top and white wall tires that wrap around a set of five-spoke chrome wheels. The current owner reports that the interior was redone during the refresh work. The red upholstery matches the exterior, as too does the dashboard and passenger grab bar. The interior features an aftermarket steering wheel from Boyd Coddington Accessories. Behind the steering wheel, you’ll find a speedometer and tachometer dead center, with ancillary gauges monitoring fuel level, water temperature, battery amperage, and oil pressure on either side.
Under the hood of this 1959 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible, you’ll find a replacement 283ci V8 engine. This motor has been upgraded to feature electronic fuel injection. The four-speed manual gearbox makes this Corvette C1 a rare example of originality. Another desirable factory option installed is the car’s Posi Trac rear differential. Other features include front disc brakes and a new gas tank.

It’s hard to believe that it's been four years since Chevrolet first revealed to the world the all-new 8th generation mid-engine Corvette. At that time, Chevy did a phenomenal job completely changing the perception of the Corvette, especially with its exotic car looks and mid-engine design. It not only has exotic sports car performance but also is easy to live with on a daily basis. Compared to its competitors, it has an affordable price tag, which brings exotic-level performance within reach to a broader audience. The C8 is offered as both a convertible and a coupe, and what we are showing in this listing is a 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Premium 3LT Coupe. It only has 7,500 miles on its odometer and is available for sale in Florida.
Chevy’s C5 Corvette is always a special one. The last of the pop-up headlamp brigade, the C5 was an all-new design that took over from the C4 in 1997. Produced until 2004, over 248,000 examples found homes during its production run. This 2002 Chevrolet Corvette is one of them, and comes with a light 32,000 miles under its belt. It’s got some cosmetic and performance enhancements as well, making it even more of a hoot to drive. Plus, it’s sure to be a future classic, so if you buy it, you’re a winner today and tomorrow as well.
The seventh generation Corvette, or the C7 as it’s officially known, is one for the history books. This was the last time that America’s sweetheart sports car would place its engine ahead of the passenger cabin. With the switch to a mid-engined layout for the C8, C7s are definitive future classics. Plus, they’re suitably modern enough to offer most of the tech toys and creature comforts we take for granted in 2024. Case in point, this 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 2LT Z51 with just 8,800 miles on the odometer. It’s a fantastic sports car and can easily perform daily driver duties. But, when the mood strikes, it can get your adrenalin pumping and your heart racing with excitement.
Would you like a first-gen Camaro with a bit of spice under the hood? Granted, GM did endow the Camaro with plenty of spiciness when it debuted, thanks to some potent V8 engines and handling packages. But, this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro is different. It’s been well looked after, and in your care, can easily double or even triple that mileage without major woes.
