This 1973 Chevrolet Cheyenne C20 Super Pickup isn’t your typical third-gen C/K Series classic pickup truck. It may have the stock 454ci V8 under the hood, which was the largest gas engine available for this era, but there’s a host of mods to make it a beast. These include aftermarket lifters, rockers, pushrod, exhaust, and more. With a nice coat of black paint and some aftermarket wheels, this truck even includes a banging stereo system for those tailgate parties, on the trails, or in town. Exterior and Interior
Wearing a smooth black suit, this 1973 Chevrolet Cheyenne C20 Super Pickup is really differentiated by two major things. One, its black aftermarket wheels with Goodyear Wrangler RT/S tires. Two, its aftermarket LED headlamps that are definitely prominent even from a distance. Then, as you look closer at this ¾-ton truck, you’ll notice aftermarket rear bumper and side-exit exhaust. Yes, this isn’t your typical third-gen C/K-Series example. The truck bed is exposed, and seems to be in decent condition too. The single cab of this 1973 Chevrolet Cheyenne C20 Super Pickup retains the tan and brown theme that it came with from the factory. There’s some woodgrain dash trim, original sun visors and the original steering wheel. A white-faced aftermarket tachometer has been added, as has a center console with cup holders. The gas pedal is also aftermarket, modeled after the sole of a shoe. But the most interesting bit is the sound system. We see aftermarket speakers in the doors, but there’s also a custom speaker box that can be deployed within the truck’s cargo bed. Then, you can really have a party in style.
Engine
This 1973 Chevrolet Cheyenne C20 Super Pickup has a 454ci V8, the largest gas engine offered for the third generation. Here, we have an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, as well as aftermarket long tube headers and exhaust, an aftermarket air cleaner, aftermarket lifters, rockers and push rods. So, the engine should definitely develop more than its stock 230hp and 360lb-ft.
