Overview of 2004 Cadillac XLR For Sale by Owner

This 2004 Cadillac XLR is one of just 15,460 cars that showed Americans what would result if Cadillac made a modern grand tourer. Sitting on a Corvette platform and featuring a power retractable hardtop, this Black Raven example is one of just 3,665 XLRs sold in 2004. It’s got 41,675 miles on the clock, three keys and the original owner’s manual. But what’s more, this Estero, Florida-based Caddy also comes with some custom made wall art included in the sale, we’re told. If this car interests you, you’d better act quickly because as time goes by, the XLR will be recognized as a future classic, and then, everyone will want one.

Exterior and Interior

This Black Raven 2004 Cadillac XLR rides on a set of shiny 18-inch alloy wheels and comes with Cadillac’s Two Thousands design language that perfectly combines retro and modern styling cues. For example, those modern projector headlamps frame a classic-inspired egg-crate inspired grille. At the rear, you’ve got quad exhaust pipes for the Northstar up front to sing the song of its people. Oh, and let’s not forget the XLR’s party piece, its powered retractable hard top! Yes, this is basically a full metal roofed coupe, and a full drop-top convertible, in one car. The Shale interior of this 2004 Cadillac XLR comes with power-adjustable seating for two adults. IT’s got a heads-up display, a Bose Premium audio system, navigation, adaptive cruise control, dual-zone climate control and more. The gauge cluster was designed by BULGARI and features their script running around the outer perimeter of the speedometer. There’s some decent trunk space as well, since Caddy’s engineers managed to pack the hood mechanism and stowage space quite smartly. Returning to the interior, we note that it uses lighter shades and wood trim as well, making it a very airy and comfortable place to be. After all, space equates with luxury.

Engine

This 2004 Cadillac XLR comes with the automaker’s well-known Northstar V8 up front. The 4.6-liter naturally aspirated unit is good fora reported 320hp and 310lb-ft. It drives the rear wheels via a 5-speed automatic transmission. The car also has Magnetic Ride Control on board, which is a form of adaptive damping that was available for the Corvette at the time too.

Do you want to be the proud owner of an American grand tourer from the Two Thousands, of which fewer than 15,500 were made? Yes, you can get yourself this 2004 Cadillac XLR from Lemont, Illinois and boast that it’s one of only 3,665 cars made in 2004. Rarer than some supercars, the Cadillac XLR was Caddy’s crack at the luxury grand tourer market. And you know what? It’s one of those cars that was massively underestimated when it was brand-new. Not enough people were brave enough to check it out, which was a mistake, because Cadillac had made something truly great. Now, XLRs are slowly gaining popularity, so you’d better snap up this sub-21,000 mile car before prices start going up – after all, Demand and Supply – that’s basic economics.

2026 BMW Z4 M40i Handschalter Edition

Current Ask
$85,000

For years, the BMW Z4 M40i has occupied a sweet spot in the modern roadster world: compact, rear-wheel drive, open-top, and powered by BMW’s turbocharged inline-six. The Handschalter Edition takes that formula and pushes it much closer to the sort of sports car enthusiasts have been asking BMW to build. Instead of relying on an automatic, this 2026 BMW Z4 M40i Handschalter Edition pairs its 3.0L turbocharged inline-six with a 6-speed manual transmission, restoring a level of involvement that has become increasingly rare in modern performance cars. Finished in San Remo Green Metallic over Cognac Vernasca leather, this example also brings together the Handschalter, Premium, Driving Assistance, and Shadowline packages, along with adaptive M suspension, an M Sport differential, red-calipered M Sport brakes, a head-up display, Harman Kardon surround sound, and 19-inch M wheels. It is a specification that blends traditional roadster character with modern BMW performance, making it as appealing for a back-road drive as it is for a top-down weekend cruise.
