The Jeep Wrangler was introduced in 1986 as a compact off-roader with some creature comforts and family-friendly features. Now on the fourth generation, the Wrangler remains one of just two off-roaders with some special features. We’ll tell you what those are in just a bit. If you’re somewhat more of a classic Wrangler person, this second-generation 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is a great place to start. Extensively modified for even more capable off-road performance, this sub-60,000-mile vehicle currently resides in Mabank, Texas.
Exterior and Interior
This 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited’s white body sits tall and proud thanks to its 3.5-inch suspension lift with Fox shocks. The vehicle has received a host of exterior enhancements, including aftermarket 17-inch Fuel wheels, new Nitto Terra Grappler tires, aftermarket front and rear bumpers, a Warn winch in the front bumper, a 50-inch light bar, wider fender flares, a full-size Hi-Lift jack mounted on the rear bumper, and a 2-inch hitch receiver at the rear. There’s even a Tuffy locking box for extra secure storage. Oh, what about those special features we mentioned that every Wrangler comes with? Well, they are simply removable doors and a removable top. Imagine a topless, open-sided driving experience through the wilderness! You can do that with this vehicle. The interior of this 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is well protected, thanks to the interior tub reportedly having been lined by LRM Kevlar, and Husky liners over the floorboards and cargo space. You’ve got seating for up to four adults and comfort features such as heating and air conditioning. There’s also an Alpine audio player with Bluetooth capability, hooked up to an aftermarket speaker system with speakers in the dash and a sound bar. There’s a hidden amplifier in the dashboard to make it all sound good.
Engine
This 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited features a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter in-line six-cylinder engine, mated with a 4-speed automatic gearbox. You’ve got four-wheel drive, with a Dana 30 front axle and a Dana 44 rear axle. So, you can venture as far and wide into the great unknown as you like, safe in the knowledge that the weakest link in this package will like be you, the driver. So you’d better learn some off-roading skills, then.
