Every time you see a Hummer roll by, take a moment to thank Arnold Schwarzenegger. Had it not been for The Terminator's gentle request, this brand would never have materialized. After the H1, AM General, who owned Hummer at the time, decided to release a smaller model called the H2. Of course, smaller is relative, as anyone who's driven, ridden in, or even been near an H2 will testify that it still dwarves most other SUVs. This 2008 Hummer H2 Custom has received quite a bit of refreshment and customization and is ready for you with just 500 miles since it underwent a heart transplant.
Exterior and Interior
Matte black makes this 2008 Hummer H2 Custom look sinister and ready to tackle the apocalypse. If you're a storm chaser, this vehicle might appeal to you as well. Riding on a set of custom aftermarket wheels, we can also see a Rhino Rack on the roof, replete with additional LED spot lamps, to augment the aftermarket LED headlamps in lighting up the darkness. There's plenty more, including American flags, LED underglow lights, and 'We The People' decals, so we'll let the pictures do the talking. Step aboard, and the interior is relatively stock. You've got all the creature comforts that this 2008 Hummer H2 Custom left the factory with, including a Bose speaker system, front seats with power adjustment, heating, ventilation and memory functions, cruise control, multifunction steering wheel, dual-zone climate control with rear controls, and a touchscreen infotainment system with DVD playback. There's also a neat little knob to switch between high and low range, plus lock differentials when required. The interior also receives LED lighting for enhanced ambiance.
Engine
This 2008 Hummer H2 Custom comes with a new 6.2L V8 engine that's reportedly got only 500 miles on it, and the new automatic transmission that accompanies it. There's a slew of new mechanical parts, including coils, filters, wire kits, radiator, hoses, seals, gaskets, timing set, compressor, water pump, starter, clutches, and exhaust.

Today’s GMC Hummer EV is an electric machine with a four-figure horsepower number, and is marketed under the GMC brand. But back in the day, you had vehicles like this 2008 Hummer H2 SUV, the OG Hummer. Yes, the H1 was the first, but that one was a thinly-veiled military Humvee with some civilian-oriented adjustments. The H2 was a proper consumer-grade SUV that was designed for civilian use from the very start. That’s why we endow the term OG on it – a term that’s not used lightly after all. This example from Selah, Washington, has done over 82,000 miles and sports a nice blue coat of paint. Inside, there’s a black leather-upholstered seven-seat passenger cabin, while a punchy 6.2-liter V8 does duty under the hood. What’s not to like?
This 2006 Hummer H2 SUV represents the first Hummer that was built from the ground-up as a civilian vehicle. The brand’s debut model, the H1 was a thinly-disguised, civilian-friendly variant of the original military Humvee. That’s why many buyers preferred the H2 when it went on sale in 2002, and by the time it was discontinued in 2009, over 153,000 units had been sold. In fact, this 2006-manufactured vehicle is one of 17,472 units that were made that year. It’s got 116,000 miles on the odometer and hails from Fort Lauderdale. Contact us if you feel that it’s the perfect vehicle for you. After all, it’s a properly capable four-wheel drive off-roader that can easily carry your family plus luggage wherever you wish to go.
The 2002 AM General Hummer H1 Open Top represents one of the most iconic and capable civilian off-road vehicles ever produced. Derived from the military Humvee platform, the H1 was engineered with a purpose-built design focused on extreme terrain capability, featuring a unique drivetrain layout and heavy-duty components rarely found on conventional SUVs. With its Competition Yellow exterior, Cloud Gray interior, open-top configuration, and expedition-focused upgrades, this example captures the unmistakable character of the legendary H1 platform while offering a unique open-air adventure experience.
Built to conquer terrain that would stop ordinary SUVs in their tracks, the Hummer H1 earned its reputation from the military-inspired Humvee platform, becoming one of the most recognizable off-road vehicles ever produced. This 2006 Hummer H1 Alpha captures the unmistakable presence of the original while incorporating the sought-after 6.6L Duramax turbocharged V8 diesel and Allison 1000 5-speed automatic transmission. Offered from California, this custom-built H1 Alpha is finished in Gray over a Black interior and has been outfitted with numerous Hummercore accessories, upgraded lighting, off-road equipment, and interior enhancements. The seller notes that the odometer gauges have been replaced, making the mileage exempt/TMU. According to the CarFax report, the last recorded mileage was 136,757 miles on June 6, 2019. According to the seller, the odometer has been replaced and the vehicle is being sold as True Mileage Unknown (TMU).
