Once in a proverbial blue moon, an automaker will showcase a jaw-dropping concept car and then…make a production car that’s very close in appearance and engineering. These gems of the automotive world are few and far between. One of those examples from the past fifteen or so years is the BMW i8. It started life as the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics concept in 2009. Two years later, BMW showcased a second concept called the i8 Concept, which was mildly changed. Then, in 2013, a prototype was revealed, and the actual thing was going into production by April 2014. With its space-era looks, hybrid powertrain and 0-60 time of 4.4 seconds, the BMW i8 was truly something like no other. Since production ended in 2020, it’s doubtless destined to be one of those cars that gains and maintains a cult following as time goes by. Just 6,776 were made in total, and we’ve got one of them today. Here’s a 2017 BMW i8 from Paradise Valley, Arizona for sale, with just under 10,000 miles done so far.

This 2017 BMW i8 is a coupe variant and comes in a two-tone white and black color theme, which really showcases its space-age design and interesting shape. The car looks like nothing else on the roads today, and turns heads wherever you take it. Unmistakably a BMW, it’s also refreshingly different from the brand’s other models during the same period. Then, you see the doors opening upwards, and the wow factor suddenly grows a hundredfold. Since this 2017 BMW i8 is the coupe variant, it’s got the tiny rear seat that makes it a 2+2 in a similar vein to a Porsche 911. The car’s white and black interior features the best comforts and tech features including a digital gauge cluster, automatic dual-zone climate control, air conditioning, a premium speaker system, a full infotainment suite with BMW’s iDrive interface, and the necessary powered features. You’ve also got a decent bit of trunk space behind the passenger cabin.

This 2017 BMW i8 uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter 3-cylinder engine mounted behind the passenger cabin. The engine drives the rear wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the front wheels are powered by an electric motor. Yes, the car is all-wheel drive. Alternatively, it can drive on electric power alone for short distances at speeds of up to 75mph. Alternatively, both powertrains can simultaneously engage for a total power output of around 357 hp and 420 lb-ft. Now that’s exciting, let us tell you!

BMW’s futuristic i8 caused quite a stir way back in 2013 when it launched. Here was a vehicle that, if you digitally removed its wheels and wheel arches, would look like a spaceship. In fact, the i8 is the result of BMW’s Vision EfficientDynamics concept car basically being put into production almost as-is. Spearheading the start of the ‘i’ sub-brand of cars from BMW, the i8 remains not just a curio, but a historically significant model in the Bavarian automaker’s long legacy. Today’s 2016 BMW i8 represents one way to enjoy a slice of that fine cake. This Utah-based machine has traveled just under 47,000 miles so far and comes with the Tera World Package.

When the BMW i8 was revealed to the world in production form, it drew gasps of amazement. The design had showed up in not one but two concepts, and a prototype was created in 2013. One year later, the production variant debuted and it was near-unchanged! That’s quite rare in the automotive world, save for a car as dramatic as this. The i8 heralded BMW’s push of ‘i’ models, with its space-age shape, butterfly doors and hybrid powertrain. Today, you can net yourself one, in the form of this Oshkosh-based 2016 BMW i8. Having done just over 57,000 miles, it’s a fine way to see how BMW envisioned the future back in the early 2010s.

Today’s BMW i-badged cars are well-known for their distinctive styling, all-electric powertrains and above all, quintessential BMW personality. But did you know that the i8 was the first model that started the legacy, way back in 2014? Inspired by BMW’s Vision EfficientDynamics concept car of 2009, the i8 Concept came two years later, in 2011. Then, BMW stunned the world in 2014 when it released the production i8 in essentially unchanged form. Today, this quirky spaceship-esque car makes for a fine sports car to own and drive. It’s got a sophisticated hybrid powertrain, can do 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, and looks like nothing else. What’s even sweeter is that we’ve got this 2017 BMW i8 Protonic Red Edition for sale right now. Just 100 units of this special edition were made, of which only 15 made it to the United States – and here’s one of those cars, residing in Fairfix, Virginia right now.

BMW’s fine E30 3-Series has become the de facto classic for those seeking a German compact car from the Eighties. Made between 1982 and 1994, the E30 brought about a series of fine six-cylinder engines and offered four body styles. Buyers could pick from a four-door sedan, a two-door coupe, a two-door convertible or a five-door station wagon. That, plus the vehicle’s timeless styling by Klaus Luthe has made the E30 somewhat of a cult classic these days. Do you yearn to own an E30? If so, check out this 127,031-mile 1986 BMW 325es from Redmond, Oregon. With its naturally aspirated six under the hood, a 4-speed autobox and a lovely set of 14-inch Basketweave alloy wheels, the car is perfect for you. BMW’s 1-Series marks the smallest vehicle you can buy from this iconic German luxury automaker who proudly proclaim that they can give you the Ultimate Driving Machine. Introduced in 2004 in the subcompact executive car category, the 1-Series quickly gained fame in Europe and Asia, mainly due to its manageable dimensions that lended itself well to the tighter roads of those continents. However, some 1-Series examples also found a fanbase in the United States, particularly hot variants like this 2010 BMW 135i Convertible. With its twin-turbo six, Premium Package and Sport Package, this 72,020-mile car currently awaits changing of hands in Mount Clemens, Michigan. Who is Genesis? We’ll admit we haven’t seen many of this brand’s machines come our way. You see, Genesis is a luxury automaker that sells some superb vehicles that are worth every dollar that you pay for them. So where is Genesis from, then? Why Hyundai! Yes, just like many Japanese automakers with luxury brands aimed at the North American market, Hyundai came up with Genesis over a decade ago for the same purpose. Since then, they’ve made some mighty fine machines. This particular one is a 2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe 3.5T, a midsize luxury SUV with coupe-inspired styling. With just over 19,000 miles, it’s the perfect luxury family transporter for those who don’t go by badgenomics alone, but actually look at what a vehicle offers – and let us tell you, this Malta-based machine does offer a bucketload of features!

Aston Martin is perhaps best known for outfitting James Bond with his wheels for that particular movie. Yes, this British sports car maker was prominently seen on the screen in Bond flicks from the Sixties, Seventies, Eighties and Two Thousands, right up to the very last one of our time, No Time To Die. Contrary to popular belief, the DB7 didn’t feature in a Bond film, but still has that Bond sense of cool about it. Made between 1994 and 2004, it was offered in coupe and convertible (Volante) forms. Today, we have a 1997 Aston Martin DB7 Volante for sale from Riviera Beach with just 26,000 miles on the clock. It’s the perfect car for a Bond aficionado, or any petrolhead, really. The car comes with a clear title as it has spent its entire life within the custody of an auto collection inside a garage. Two keys, an auxiliary battery charger and the original owner’s manual are included with the sale.
