The Mercedes Sprinter is widely known as a very versatile vehicle. It’s available in several configurations, including a cargo van, a crew van, a passenger van and even a cab chassis so that customers can customize it to meet their exact needs. Each model is available with a choice of a 144” and a 170” wheelbase. The 3 factory-bodied models also offer a choice between the standard roof or a high roof for extra vertical space. The 170” wheelbase vehicle is even offered with a further choice of lengths: 274” or 290” (the extended version), with the latter providing even more interior space. The rear cargo door (or doors, in this case) are side-hinged and split down the middle, offering easy access while allowing operation in tighter spaces. Everything in the Sprinter has been designed with versatility and maximum functionality in mind. This means that this is an ideal vehicle for adaptation even beyond what is already available, even in the factory-bodied vehicles. One such great use is as a camper van, as seen in this particular example.
On the outside, this may look like a normal Sprinter that carries passengers from A to B, but don’t let the unassuming black exterior and wheels fool you. This Sprinter has been transformed completely into a very comfortable bunk van. In fact, it has six bunks with memory foam mattresses, outlets, lights, and fans. It’s not just bunks in there either; it’s a mini mobile house. There’s a kitchenette complete with a mini fridge, sink, and microwave. There’s also an excellent entertainment system on board, with two TVs and a Bose sound bar, enough to keep all occupants happy. There’s a Nomadic AC unit and an Espar diesel heater to control the temperature inside. Power comes from a 3000W power inverter system with 15A and 12V power and 3 230AH batteries. There’s also 30A shore power, including cords. The floor is Life Proof vinyl, and the ceiling is wood paneled. Of course, with all this equipment on board, the question inevitably crops up: is there space to actually carry any luggage? Surprisingly, despite all the amenities, this van still has a storage area in the back.
Rest assured, up front it’s still a sensible Mercedes van with a grey interior and all the tech and driving aids that Mercedes provides. Hauling all this equipment is the 2.0L 4-cylinder Mercedes engine with its automatic transmission, making it easy enough to drive around. Being a 2024 model, this vehicle has barely been used and has only 2,300 miles on it.

There are rare moments in automotive history when an entire brand speaks with one unified voice. For Volkswagen in the 1970s, that voice carried a message of peace, love, and freedom—values that came to define the era just as much as the cars themselves. From the Beetle to the Bus, VW’s lineup wasn’t just transportation; it was a rolling symbol of optimism and counterculture spirit. Fast forward to today, and that ethos lives on in this 1971 Volkswagen Type 2 Westfalia Van. With a reported 5,480 miles on the clock, this beautifully preserved German classic isn’t simply a vehicle—it’s a time capsule. Its cheerful presence invites you to shut down the weekday grind and embrace a slower, more meaningful pace of life. Whether it’s a long drive along coastal highways or a weekend escape under the stars, this Transporter is a reminder that journeys aren’t just about reaching destinations—they’re about enjoying the ride, in true Volkswagen fashion.
