Ever since the first generation of the G-Class was introduced to the market, Mercedes-Benz started to contend among rough-and-tumble 4x4s, and when it became more luxurious from 1990 onwards, it started trading punches with the likes of the Range Rover, in the luxury 4x4 class. Gone were the spartan and utilitarian, and in came refinement complement its purpose of being a luxury SUV. It didn’t take long to pair the iconic AMG badge with the G-Class, and this resulted in a powerful and versatile formula. 2012’s G63 AMG saw a major change with the introduction of the monstrous 5.5 Liter twin turbo engine that offered higher performance, enhanced efficiency and lower emissions. This is a 2013 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG just 42,500 miles on the clock, hailing from New York.

The G-Class looks best when it’s dressed in all black and this 2013 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG is a prime example with its Designo Night Black Magno exterior, and black double-spoke alloy wheels with new tires. Red-painted AMG brake calipers peek out from behind the wheels. Other exterior components include a stainless-steel brush guard, removable trailer hitch, stainless steel spare wheel cover and side steps. The dark Designo treatment extends to the interior, as it is equipped with a Designo leather steering wheel, piano black lacquer and Designo package black leather upholstery. The Seat Comfort package is optioned as well, and brings heated, powered and memory front seats. An electric sliding sunroof allows light to permeate the darkness, and a plush Alcantara headliner to go with the AMG Carbon Fiber trim. The Chrome Package is ticked off as well for some glint. Dual-zone climate control keeps all occupants cool or warm as desired, a Harman/Kardon Surround system does your music justice, and this G63 comes with a long list of safety features, including Blind Spot Assist, Parktronic Park Assist, Active Distance Assist (Distronic) and a rear-view camera, among others.

This 2013 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG is powered by a 5.5-liter (335ci) biturbo V8 engine that puts out a brawny 536 hp and 561 lb ft. Power is sent to all four wheels via a seven-speed 7G-Tronic automatic gearbox, and there is a trio of differentials that can be locked via three prominent switches on the center console to aid your off-road adventuring. This vehicle was recently tuned up by a dealer and also given new brakes.
