The German luxury vehicle manufacturer Audi has a long and complex history. Though currently a subsidiary of Volkswagen Group initially it was founded as an amalgamation of Horsch and the Audiwerke, and two other vehicle manufacturers DKW and Wanderer, and was named Auto Union. The current iteration of Auto Union was relaunched in 1960 as the Audi brand when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz. Audi’s slogan of “Vorsprung durch Technik”, meaning "Being Ahead through Technology" is still maintained and highly prized, as their vehicles are packed with technology and luxury. Audis first venture in the SUV segment was in the form of the Audi Q7 released in 2005, and they turned up the luxury in 2018 with the launch of the Q8 which is positioned as a mid-size luxury crossover. Exterior and Interior
This 2020 Audi RS Q8 is regaled in an Orca Black metallic exterior with a matching black interior and subtle red stitching. Engine
This 2020 Audi RS Q8 is powered by a 4.0L twin turbocharged V8 motor with mild hybrid system that puts out 592hp at 6,000rpm and 590 lb ft between 2,200 and 4,500rpm. Drive is sent to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission, and Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system. This helps propel the 5,100lb RS Q8 from rest to 60mph in a scant 3.8 seconds, whilst the top speed is electronically limited to 155mph. Removing the limiter means one can see 190mph flat-out.
