Overview of 1959 Chevrolet Corvette Restomod LS3 For Sale by Owner

If you’re a Corvette fan, a first-generation example is likely very high on your bucket list. Yes, why not own and drive an example from the era that started one of America’s finest automotive legacies? However, today’s 1959 Chevrolet Corvette Restomod LS3 is a little different. It’s been tastefully modified and upgraded with some modern components and most tantalizingly, a modern V8 from a newer Corvette! Having done a mere 2,142 miles after all this meticulous and painstaking work, this fully dialed-in car now resides in Sapphire, North Carolina, ready for a new owner and fresh adventures. Talk to us if you’d like to be that lucky person.

Exterior and Interior

This 1959 Chevrolet Corvette Restomod LS3 has been painted in a smooth shade of silver, really bringing out its iconic and timeless styling. Meanwhile, the wheels have been upgraded to forged black aluminum units, and the whole thing sits on a custom chassis. Since the car is a convertible, there’s a black canvas top for use in poor weather, but the car looks best top-down, when its profile really cuts a fine dash. Meanwhile, a custom side dual-exit exhaust system ensures that the V8’s rumble and roar is really prominent. The Lipstick Red interior features Daytona-style leather bucket seats in the same shade, as well as amenities such as power windows, air conditioning and an aftermarket audio player. The latter is from Kenwood, and offers Bluetooth connectivity, a USB port and an AUX input as well as regular FM radio. Meanwhile, a bevy of Dakota Digital gauges have been added as well, aiding monitoring of the modernized powertrain that lurks within. All this sits neatly within the car’s original dashboard, tastefully combining retro and modern. Even the trunk compartment has reportedly been overhauled.

Engine

A modern 6.2-liter LS3 V8 tuned by Hendrick Motorsports and packing an aftermarket camshaft powers this 1959 Chevrolet Corvette Restomod LS3. Paired with a crisp 5-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive, the renewed powertrain really makes this Corvette a treat to drive. Four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, coilover shocks and vented, cross-drilled zinc-plated rotors also come together for a holistic experience.
