Fast forward to 2020, and the eighth generation of the model is generating strong sales, having undergone an evolution in the shape of a mid-mounted engine. Corvettes are universally loved, and appreciated. Some people love them in stock form, some modify them in degrees ranging from mild to wild, and there’s the restomod community. This 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Restomod is one such example. Coming from New York with just 11,555 miles, and is a complete, body-off restomod with OEM-correct numbered parts. Read on to find out why it deserves a place on your driveway or in your car port.

The interior sports a tan color theme with seating for two occupants, and chromed details such as window winders and door pulls. Whilst the gauges look retro-styled, they are a modern set of Dakota Digital units. Pop the glove box on the cockpit-styled dual-hooped dash in front of the passenger seat, and you find a modern Kenwood head unit with CD, Bluetooth, USB, and AUX options that plays through no less than eight speakers.

Here’s one hurrah for the pop-up headlamp generation. 2004 marked the last year of C5 Corvette production, and away with it went these iconic eyes that, over four generations, emerged, rotated or flipped around to say hello. Of course, the C5 is a lot more than a pretty face, it was a technological tour de force at the time. The C5 also marked the arrival of the Z06 badge, as a successor to the C4’s ZR1 top-tier performance variant. If that floats your boat, we’ve got a superb 2004 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Coupe up for sale right now, with just over 1,000 miles on the odometer. Furthermore, it's a Le Mans Commemorative Edition car, and includes the Z06 Preferred Equipment Group. In short, it’s Corvette nirvana for one lucky person – will that be you?
