Inspired by a concept car called the Mako Shark II, Chevy’s C3 or third-generation Corvette made some pretty big splashes when it dropped for the 1968 model year. The sleek lines of the C2 gave way to muscular styling and pumped-up haunches that made the Corvette a real muscle machine by look. Despite the C3 holding fort until 1982, which keen readers would know means that it covered the Malaise Era, the Corvette remained America’s fastest sports car available. That means a classic C3 like this 1975 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe is not only a fine American classic, but a historically significant machine. This car appears to be in excellent condition, leading us to believe that it’s been restored. If you’d like to take it on, it currently resides in Lakewood, California.

Wearing a silver suit, this 1975 Chevrolet Corvette looks pretty potent even though its over fifty years old now. Bill Mitchell didn’t change the Mako Shark II’s looks too much, resulting in one of those rare cars that is rather similar to its concept. You’ve got pop-up headlamps, dual removable T-tops and a smooth, single-piece rear deck. One minor casualty of this is that the trunk must be accessed via the passenger compartment. The interior of this 1975 Chevrolet Corvette comes in gray and seats two adults with plenty of space. After all, the Corvette is a grand tourer, not a cramped, stripped out racer. So, the seats are upholstered in leather, the frameless doors contain some wood trim, and there’s a push-button radio in the center console. The car also has air conditioning, evidence of which can be seen under the hood with a sizable Frigidaire compressor coupled to the V8 that also lurks there.

This 1975 Chevrolet Corvette has a L48 V8 under the hood. The 350ci unit is fed via a Rochester Quadra-Jet 4-barrel carburetor. It powers the rear wheels through a 3-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic gearbox and a 3.08 rear axle ratio. The car also has front and rear independent suspension, ventilated disc brakes and recirculating ball steering. Plus, there are plenty of aftermarket avenues to get that V8 really pumping.

Today’s 2012 Chevrolet Corvette Z16 Grand Sport 3LT is quite a quick beast indeed. Hailing from the sixth or C6 era of America’s favorite sports car, it’s got a snarling 6.2-liter V8 under the hood, the 3LT Preferred Equipment Group, a removable roof package, and more. Plus, with under 69,000 miles on the clock, this Sierra Vista-based car is a fine upgrade for someone who seeks a sports car that can give them a good time during every drive. It’s even got a dual-mode performance exhaust to further add to the sense of theatre that Corvettes are known for.

Now this is the performance bargain of the decade! Chevy’s fine C8 or eighth-generation Corvette dropped for the 2020 model year and immediately caused a stir. With its new mid-engined layout and supercar-fighter looks, this is the most potent, technologically advanced and dynamically capable Corvette so far. It’s no surprise that C8 Corvettes are hot ticket items right now, and we have one for sale. If you grew up in the Nineties and Two Thousands, it’s highly likely that your bedroom wall featured a poster (or several) of the C5 or fifth generation Chevy Corvette. With its sleek, space-age looks, pop-up headlamps and sporty stance, the C5 was an aspirational point for many. Today, you can own one, courtesy of this 23,122-mile 2003 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 that’s available in Alcolu, South Carolina. But wait, this isn’t yet another Z06. You see, this car includes the complete documentation packet, original window sticker and all original manuals. It’s also got the original factory wheels and tires in case the aftermarket wheels it wears aren’t your thing. But that’s not all, we also find that the original promotional CD and VHS tape are included, still sealed in cellophane! Now this is a fine time capsule and worthy of preservation!

This 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible is one of them, and it’s now available to purchase in Jacksonville, Florida. This Cutlass convertible is a well-sorted classic that blends vintage muscle-car style with thoughtful performance-oriented upgrades. Presented as a 442 tribute while remaining a Cutlass convertible at its core, this car focuses more on drivability and presence than factory originality. With 95,977 miles showing, it has clearly been enjoyed while benefiting from substantial mechanical improvements. The combination of big-block power, an automatic transmission, and open-top cruising makes it a strong candidate for weekend drives, local shows, or relaxed highway cruising.

Now here’s a lovely cruiser for someone to enjoy, whether they’re sixteen or sixty years old. This 1981 Mercedes-Benz 380SL Roadster hails from the hallowed R107 generation of Mercedes-Benz’s SL-Class luxury grand tourer. This generation was made between 1971 and 1989, and of the 300,000 plus cars that were made, over two thirds came to North America. The car was a cult classic with the rich and famous, or even infamous. Now, cars like this are becoming fantastic classics to own and drive, as well as the perfect way to experience a classic Mercedes-Benz drive without giving up too many comfort features. For example, this 91,112-mile machine rocks a 4-speed automatic transmission, which was one of the key upgrades for the 1981 model year. It’s also got a Blaupunkt San Francisco SQR 28 cassette radio player, a 3.8-liter naturally aspirated V8, and is up for grabs in Montclair, New Jersey.
