



The Z series cars from the giant Japanese automobile manufacturer Nissan were sports model cars manufactured since 1969 starting with the Nissan Fairlady Z or the Datsun 240Z as known in NA. The Z series is currently in its seventh modern iteration. In 1983 Nissan produced the Nissan Z31 till 1989. The Nissan 300ZX was followed on by a second-generation produced from 1989 to 2002 called the Nissan Z32. Up for grabs is a 1984 first-generation Nissan 300ZX Z31 Turbo with just 34,000 incredible miles on the clock.

This 1984 Nissan 300ZX Turbo is bedecked in a Blue Mist Metallic patina. The front features a slant nose design with the classic pop-up headlights. The rear features a black duck lip-style spoiler. Interestingly, the NA Nissan 300ZX was shipped with both the Datsun and Nissan badges. It sits on a set of OEM 15” wheels with the Z logo on the hubcaps. The interior is finished off in blue leather closely matching with the color scheme of the exterior. The front seats have the Turbo lettering stitched onto them and have limited power functions. It features faux wood in the center console for aesthetics, also where the A/C controls and an upgraded Sony CD/radio player are in place. The original radio is also given with the sale. Behind the vintage steering wheel rest, the ‘80s view on the future in the form of an all-digital dashboard and gauges it also features a Voice Warning System which notifies the driver when the doors are open or low fuel. The Nissan 300ZX also had an early version of cruise control. The T-tops are removable and are in good condition.

A 3.0L V6 turbo engine is used in this 1984 Nissan 300ZX Turbo coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission. EFI was on board whilst the power was sent to the rear wheels. The 300ZX was able to produce 200hp of power and featured a Garrett T3 turbocharger. The engines came fitted with self-adjusting hydraulic valve lifters as well as a rear differential. The 300ZX can clock in 7.1 seconds in the 0-60 benchmark. The owner reports that the entire muffler and exhaust system have been replaced along with the clutch cylinder. The all-wheel disc brakes were replaced in 2022 while they mention that the suspension needs some work on it in the form of struts and shock absorbers.
