Overview of 1989 Ferrari Mondial For Sale by Owner

Owning a Ferrari means you own a big piece of automotive history; the Italian brand is filled with a racing pedigree and has given the world some of the most beautiful cars, just like this lovely 1989 Ferrari Mondial we have today. This Prancing horse sports a reported 13,700 miles on the clock and makes for automotive art to look at or the perfect Sunday cruiser.

Exterior and Interior

The Ferrari Mondial was a replacement to the iconic and high-selling Ferrari 308, and in terms of design and features, the Mondial sure made for a great replacement. You had all that Ferrari charm, with styling from Pininfarina and bodywork by Carrozeria Scaglietti; looking at this 1989 Ferrari Mondial with its red exterior is undoubtedly a lovely treat. Keeping aside all its Italian design features did we mention that you also get pop-up headlights! The body is in great shape, with the black convertible hood blending in well. The car sits on its factory Ferrari wheels with Ferrari center caps, and the seller reports that the car sports fresh rubber. This being a low mileage example shows with its interior. The fawn colored interior of this 1989 Ferrari Mondial is in really great shape with all its components in place. The seats are in good condition, with the rear seats also intact. The dashboard sports the original meter clusters and the original steering wheel. The seller reports that the car has new air conditioning, which sure comes in handy to keep the vehicle chilled on a Sunday drive in summer.

Engine

You can rest assured that you're getting automotive art serving as your powerplants with any Ferrari. Pop the hood, and they don't just perform but look and sound exotic as well. This 1989 Ferrari Mondial is no different; this being a Ferrari Mondial T means you get the bigger 3.4L V8 engine powering the car; that wasn't the only difference, however, as the T models also featured a dry-sump system which equated to an impressive 300hp when new. Power is sent to the car's rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission; the dog leg manual transmission was redesigned for the "T" models to put the car's power down more efficiently. The seller reports a few freshening up at the engine bay to keep this Italian beauty purring. The car now sees a new starter, new Fuel pumps a new timing belt, new hoses, and rebuilt rear calipers for better stopping power.

The Ferrari Testarossa remains one of the most instantly recognizable supercars of the 1980s, a machine that perfectly captured the excess, drama, and design experimentation of the era. Introduced as the successor to the Berlinetta Boxer, the Testarossa brought improved refinement, better cooling, and dramatically more interior space, all while retaining Ferrari’s intoxicating flat-12 performance formula. This 1988 Ferrari Testarossa shows 43,413 miles and is finished in eye-catching Giallo Fly over a Nero interior—a combination that amplifies the car’s unmistakable visual theater. While many collectors gravitate toward Rosso Corsa examples, yellow Testarossas carry a distinct period-correct flair that feels especially fitting for such an extroverted design. Adding to the appeal is the engaging gated 5-speed manual transmission, the analog driving experience enthusiasts crave, and a tasteful aftermarket audio upgrade for improved cruising enjoyment.
