If you’re looking at getting your own taste of this battle-proven SUV, then your best bet is to pick up an original decommissioned Humvee. What we have here is a 2006 AM General Humvee M1097R1 that has also been modernized for civilian use. It’ll get you to and from the shops and will still manage to do a dessert trial along the way—if you’re so inclined.
Exterior and Interior
The exterior of this 2006 AM General Humvee M1097R1 is painted in a suitable shade: Sandstorm. To protect occupants from the elements, a new top is included, as are new doors and a new back cover. Move inside the black interior, and you’ll find a bit of modernization. The owner reports that the truck features grab handles throughout, as well as cupholders for added convenience. There are fans throughout the vehicle too, helping during the warmer months. But there’s plenty of evidence that this Humvee can be used hard, too.
