Jeep’s funky Wrangler is probably one of the best ways to get your off-road kicks in a hip and cool manner. It’s been around since 1986, and is currently on the fourth generation. Available in two-door short-wheelbase and four-door, long-wheelbase forms, the Wrangler’s signature party trick is its removable doors and roof. Of course, it’s also a pretty darn good off-roader, able to go much further in factory form than many others can do, even with mods. And of course, when you mod a Wrangler, it’s pretty much unstoppable. Today’s 2006 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is a two-door variant that comes from the second generation. Also known as the TJ chassis code, this particular vehicle has done a smidge over 80,000 miles and includes some upgrades too.
Exterior and Interior
This 2006 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon wears a lovely coat of silver paint that shimmers and looks nearly white in certain forms of lighting. Certainly, you’ll notice this effect in our photos. You’ll also notice its doorless stance, although you also get the full metal doors and the soft top in the sale. The vehicle also bears a set of 33-inch Mickey Thompson tires on Mickey Thompson wheels, adding to its off-road capabilities. Naturally, since it’s a two-door variant, it’s got the best approach, departure and breakover angles of the TJ-series too. These are further enhanced by the vehicle’s 3.5-inch lift, necessary to accommodate the bigger tires. Updated bumpers and updated fog lamps complete the look of this iconic four-by-four. The passenger area of this 2006 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon includes seating for four occupants. We’re told that the air conditioning has received a recharge to ensure that it cools perfectly well. That’s necessary when driving around in town during Summer. The vehicle also sports a Pioneer radio with a CD player, USB input and an AUX port.
