The German luxury automobile manufacturer Audi bears the four rings logo with pride. The rings signify the four companies that came together to produce Audi. Their origins date back to the 20th century and are considered as one of the best-selling luxury automobiles in the world. Under the Volkswagen Group, Audi experienced many changes that propelled the brand to newer heights, through which they were able to the mid-engined 2-seater sports car the Audi R8. Produced in 2006, the Audi R8 is currently on its second generation. Up for grabs is a 2008 Audi R8 with just 36,000 miles on the clock.
Jet Blue Metallic is what coats this easy-to-drive and enjoyable supercar from Audi. The Audi R8’s front fascia features an all-LED headlight, which made the Audi R8 the first car to completely do the headlights with LED. A blacked-out grille with a small Quattro logo is visible. The two side massive side blades in Carbon Sigma provide cooling for the engine and brakes as well. The rea is host to the Audi logo in the middle and the R8 logo on the left. This 2008 Audi R8 sits on a set of staggered dual 5-spoke wheels in black with the Audi rings on the hubcaps, behind the wheels black painted and R8 emblazoned brake calipers and visible. The car also features an LED-lit glass engine cover. On entry, you are greeted with chrome-colored and R8 emblazoned door sills. Limestone grey leather is the aesthetic of the interior. The multi-functional sports steering wheel is also wrapped in leather and has a silver-painted Audi logo in the center. It comes with a navigation system, and parking assist features.
This 2008 Audi R8 does not just look good, it comes with an excellent engine and drive system. It is powered by a 4.2L all-aluminum FSI V8 which generates 414hp of power and 317 lb.ft of torque, while coupled to a gated 6-speed Graziano manual transmission which sends the power to all four wheels via Audi’s patented Quattro system. The R8 comes with a hill-hold assist by Audi as well. The seller reports that the struts have been upgraded to a set of Bilstein set for extra comfort. Audi dropped a showstopper in 2006 when the R8 hit the dealership floors. Here was a powerful and characterful sports car from an automaker better known for its all-wheel drive sedans and station wagons at the time. The R8 majorly changed the public’s perception of Audi, helped by the car’s prominent showing in the Iron Man franchise as Tony Stark’s personal car. So, if you’ve want to be an R8 owner, check out this first-generation 2012 Audi R8 R-Tronic Coupe. The car is the more potent V10 variant and has 27,600 miles on its wheels.
It seems that the current trend of car engines is for them to get smaller and smaller. Every year, we hear about minute engines pumping out ungodly power figures. But there is something about a big engine that small engines lack. This 2011 Audi R8 is as good as it gets. No small turbo 4 bangers here, this has a V10! Audi has had 18 glorious years of producing the R8, and they knew what they were doing—a V10-powered 2-seater mid-engined sports car. Of course, it was a hit!
There’s nothing quite like blasting down the road in a convertible. Let alone one that performs as well as this 2011 Audi R8 Spyder with just 33,000 miles on the odometer. Having been around since 2007, the R8 was Audi’s answer to cars like the Porsche 911– and what an answer it was. It is a perfect specimen to showcase that when the Germans put their mind to making a decent sports car, they greatly exceed everyone’s expectations.
Audi’s five-door executive liftback contender arrived in 2010, and was christened as the A7. It’s a sportier, fastback-coupe-styled variant of the A6 in response to similar offerings from Mercedes-Benz and BMW. Of course, there would be S and RS variants, too. However, this particular 2015 Audi RS7 Quattro Prestige Custom Build is a bit different because the car is a custom job with many distinctive components coming together for something truly unique. Now, it’s up for grabs, having covered just 40,000 miles in its life. Let’s learn more about what makes it unique.
