Unless you've been under a rock for the past few decades, you’re bound to know what a Humvee looks like. Seen in nearly every Hollywood movie that has some theme of war or military, you’ll also catch them on the news from time to time. That’s because this versatile light military vehicle is used by the United States Military in active war zones, as well as on military bases locally and internationally. Of course, as befits a true veteran of the military, these vehicles receive a distinguished retirement. Many of them are given a new identify and a makeover, becoming cherished civilian vehicles for those who seek something different. This 2010 AM General Humvee is no different. With a mere 30,000 miles on the odometer, the current owner says that the vehicle has been done up to mimic the look of certain island cruisers. Oh, and being a Humvee, it still retains the legendary off-road abilities that the vehicle is famous for. So, if you want a fun and frolic machine, step right this way.
This 2010 AM General Humvee wears a full bed liner paint job in Tropical Blue, contrasted by a custom Sunbrella navy and blue bikini top giving tribute to the island cruisers, like a Fiat Jolly on steroids. It rides on a set of new Vision 17-inch wheels, and wears chunky Nitto Ridge Grappler 17-inch wheels for optimal grip on any surface. Continuing the theme of renewal and upgrades is new LED lighting, including the turn indicators. An upgraded horn has also been fitted, allowing you to announce your presence with gusto. Finally, a new windshield ensures a clear view ahead. Step aboard, climb aboard, crawl aboard, or jump aboard. The choice is yours, thanks to the removable doors that offer the ultimate open-air experience. Once you’re in, you’ll find a set of recently-installed custom white bucket seats with sliders, plus new three-point seatbelts for safety. Look down and your feet will be resting on teak-look foam flooring. Meanwhile, the driver grips an upgraded wood steering wheel and monitors vehicle performance via a set of upgraded gauges. There’s also a sound bar sound system for some rocking tunes no matter where you drive. The current owner says that an air conditioning compressor can be retrofitted if you desire some cool air blowing in your face in hotter climes.
This 2010 AM General Humvee retains its potent 6.5L V8 under the hood, driving all four wheels via an automatic gearbox. The current owner says that a radiator flush with new coolant was done in May 2024. Furthermore, the engine, transmission, transfer case, front and rear differential oils were replaced in May 2024 as well. Hence, you can be assured that this truck is ready to rock and roll.

The Humvee is the spirit of America’s military. Whether you watch a movie that features our forces, or see them on the news, chances are, a Humvee will soon appear on screen. This tough military veteran helps our troops get around on the battlefield or within bases in a swift and well-protected manner. And when they retire from active service, they get a distinguished farewell. Some of them enter civilian life with an excellent makeover for a second life, like this 2000 AM General Humvee M1123. This particular vehicle has been done up in a sunny style, to mimic the look of certain island cruisers. Hence, with just 11,800 miles on the clock, it’s a great symbol of freedom, as well as a tribute to the freedom that we all enjoy thanks in no small part to the Humvee.
When you look at a list of American automotive legends, you can rest assured that the legendary Humvee makes an appearance on multiple occasions. The war-going performance powerhouse was a tool of combat but was later made a hero in civilian service. Present today is an example of a military vehicle that was converted to road-going use: a AM General Humvee M1123. This particular example is reported to have been decommissioned in 2009 and is a mostly original example that provides you with an authentic experience above all else.
We Americans have always had the inexplicable ability to build immensely capable vehicles. There is hardly a better example than this 1994 American General Humvee. The idea of this monstrosity originated back during the 1950s when it was intended to replace the Willys Jeep which was getting rather long in the tooth. Since then, the US Military has put them to good use. Evident with the abundance of media scattered all over the internet with Humvees loaded to the brim with military personnel and a camouflaged wrap in some remote, desolate location. With a mere 14,000 miles on the odometer, this is an immaculate example, especially for a vehicle that should have a half-eaten zombie pinned underneath it.

The AM General M1123 Humvee, also known as the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV), is basically the face of the United States Armed Forces, having served multiple wars since 1983 and still in service to this date. While you might not get an M2 .50 caliber machine gun mounted on the back, there’s still plenty of character carried from its patriotic light armored military version. Retired from service, this rugged war machine is cherished to start a new life on civilian roads. This M1123 version is an evolution from the old M998. Clocking a mere 5,000 miles on the odometer, the current owner reports that this 2008 AM General M1123 is equipped with its original motor and transmission.
