Overview of 1967 Pontiac GTO For Sale by Owner

1967 was the final production year for the first-generation Pontiac GTO. A car that arguably created the muscle genre, it remains one of the most respected, sought-after and well-known Pontiacs to date. The 1967 Pontiac GTO saw a new four-barrel carburetor and a bump in engine capacity, from 389ci (6.4 liter) to 400ci (6.6 liter). It also saw minor styling tweaks such as new taillight and grille designs. Our subject car has been lovingly recommissioned, with minor restoration efforts performed to get it into the condition you see here. Both its interior and exterior appear to be in an immaculate state, making it a compelling buy for anyone after a first-generation GTO with the desirable 400 motor.

Exterior and Interior

This Tyrol Blue, 1967 Pontiac GTO has seen minor recommissioning work done to it to get it into the shape you see here. In addition to the captivating paintwork, this GTO’s badges and bright-work are in excellent condition. It sits on the GTO-trademark Rally II wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich rubber. Our subject car also features the optional bonnet-mounted RPM gauge (itself recently replaced)—a true novelty and hallmark of the muscle-car age. This Pontiac GTO features a new interior, with its seats and dashboard in immaculate shape, and includes a newly-installed dash pad. Also new inside are the recently fitted headliner and carpet. And, adding a discrete touch of modernity and practicality to the interior is a new high-powered air-conditioning system and a new Bluetooth-enabled radio.

Engine

Under the hood of this Pontiac GTO is the 1967-model-year 400ci V8 engine. When new, the high-power power plant produced 360hp and 438 lb-ft of torque—figures that are still respectable today. Also of note is the factory power steering system, and newly-replaced power disc brakes on all four corners.
