



The image of a Chevy’ 55 two-door is probably the first that pops into anyone’s head when thinking about Diner-obsessed old-school Americana. A shape that defined an era, the old-school Chevrolet’s were more than just transport; they were cars that appealed to young and old and provided many a gateway into the hot-rodding scene. In 2021, a new era dawns. But those who continue to bump-up the power figures of these icons that are approaching seventy-years in age show no let-up in their creations. As such, we’re happy to present one of these two-door creations to you today. Located in Delaware, this wildly modded 1955 Chevrolet 2-Door features a host of power-centric modifications.

The coupe body shape of the 1955 2-Door isn’t the only unique aspect of this old-school Chevy. The exterior paintwork is in silver and blue and features custom flames on the sides and hood. It features new windshield wipers, as well as shaved door handles and side exhaust outlets. Inside, occupants are treated to a black custom leather interior with contrast stitching. A Pro 55 motif features on the headliner, while a Hurst shifter is also present in the cabin. Also included is an Auto Meter tachometer with shift light, a digital dash, and electric power windows.

The highlight of this particular package, the 496ci V8 engine has been substantially fettled with. The engine is prepped for Nitrous should that route be taken. The combination has been dyno tested for 650 hp to the wheels with 593 lb-ft of torque. This is thanks to the four-barrel carburetor, which is an 850 QS carb. Additionally, all wiring work has been redone and attended to maximize this classic hot rod’s reliability. The Chevy 2-Door features all four disc brakes, which have been recently done, along with a built-up rear end and new rear tires.

Chevy’s swish Bel Air model made quite a splash in the Fifties and Sixties. Representing Chevy’s full-size offering, it was ambitiously named after a wealthy suburb of Los Angeles. Chevy offered Bel Air buyers multiple body styles, including sedans, hardtops, coupes, convertibles and station wagons. There was basically a Bel Air for nearly everyone who could afford it. In the Seventies, trucks like this 1971 Chevrolet C10 plied back and forth across America’s roads, carrying cargo and supplies for countless small businesses and entrepreneurs. Essentially, these trucks were a significant part of the backbone of American commerce, in urban as well as rural areas. They were built tough and utilitarian, but had reasonable comfort to allow their owners to carry their families within the passenger cab as and when needed. This particular truck comes from the second generation of the C/K Series which ran between 1967 and 1972. IT’s got just 1,237 miles on it after some refreshment work, and is available in Spring, Texas. That makes it a fine classic truck to own and drive if you’re inclined towards such vehicles.



Chevy’s second generation or C2 Corvette is one of the shortest in the Corvette’s story. It saw just five production years, namely 1963 to 1967. Yet, the C2 is recognized as a defining moment in the Corvette’s journey, bringing features that endured for generations. It marked when the Corvette would forever be a V8-powered machine, and only have V8s under the hood. It brought pop-up headlamps to the party for four decades thereafter. Most alluringly, it created an achingly beautiful shape that modern Corvettes haven’t quite been able to pull off – they’ve all tended towards muscular and angular – or a combination of the two. Today’s 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Restomod LS3 is a fine restomod that’s truly a one-of-a-kind machine. Sitting on a SRIII Motorsports Round Tube Chassis, this ‘Vette enjoys a 480-horsepower GM LS3 V8 with fuel injection, a Tremec 5-speed manual gearbox and so many other neat things. The current owner says that just 800 miles have passed since the build of this car was completed.



Chevy’s C3 or third generation Corvette was around from 1968 right up until 1982. It weathered the Malaise Era with poise, remaining one of the fastest American cars during those dark times. Chevy kept updating and improving the C3 throughout its lifetime, too. This meant that even later-model C3s had plenty to offer. Take this 1979 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe as a prime example. It’s painted in lustrous Coca Cola red and packs the requisite 350ci V8 under the hood. Plus, it’s got under 10,000 miles and resides in Brownsville, Kentucky.
