Jaguar Cars were initially founded as the Swallow Sidecar Company in 1922, with their first car, the S. S. Jaguar 2 ½ in 1935. Jaguars initial mantra of “Value for money” production sports type vehicles such as the likes of the Jaguar XK120, Jaguar XK 140, Jaguar XK150 & the most famously known Jaguar E-Type continued with the 420. Fun fact, the Swedish musician ‘E-Type’ chose the name from his love of the car. On our list today is a left-hand driven, meticulously maintained 1967 Jaguar 420 in Sport Saloon trim powered by an original 4.2L 6-cylinder engine. This pristine 420’s build date is Jan. 19, 1967, with dispatch date being Feb. 8, 1967 from the original dealer: Jaguar Cars New York. This car is located in Florida with just three previous owners.

The 420’s pedigree stems from the legendary Jaguar Mark 2. This 420 is finished in Silver Blue — a fairly unique color at that time. It includes a dark blue interior complementing the blue of the exterior. The 420/Sovereign outsold every other model in production by Jaguar at that time, cementing its popularity during that era. With a leather and wood finished interior, this car is guaranteed to transport you back to a time when cars were classy. A spare wood steering wheel is also included. This vehicle has been garage-kept & is reportedly well maintained.

Sporting the 4.2 L XK 6-cylinder engine, with a factory quoted rating of 245hp it features an automatic transmission affixed, enabling the Jag to effortlessly sail smoothly on any road. This magnificent specimen has 2 separate 7.5-gallon fuel tanks with a toggle switch for long uninterrupted drives. The engine bears its factory status with engine number 7F2948-9 & gearbox number 17637. A production certificate from Jaguar is also available to confirm all details and authenticity of this vehicle.

One of the prettiest cars in the world, the Jaguar E-Type was so breathtaking when it launched in 1961 that it reportedly was able to even captivate the heart of Enzo Ferrari! Called the XK-E for the North American market, it was made between 1961 and 1974 and offered in coupe and convertible variants. Purists argue that the coupe is the better looking of the two, and if you’d like to join in the discussion, why not get some ammo? Here’s a 1967 Jaguar XK-E Coupe for sale from Cincinnati, Ohio. It’s a wonderful specimen of one of the most prolific cars of the Sixties and is an excellent future investment too.
